You will just do more damage to the truck. Go to a dodge dealer, they can make you a key from vehicle ID number.

SOURCE: the fan blade is loose & wobbles on the shaft on my dodge dakota

Fix it now or forever pick up the pieces...You have one of two problems possibly both...The fan clutch that the fan is bolted to has a bad bearing. replace it Or, the bearing in the water pump has failed. again...replace it. If fan clutch failed carefully check pump ...shaft bearing can be damaged by wobbling assembly. Seriously...don't ignore this if fan gets loose,it will damage far more than the problem you now have!!!
good luck!!

2001 Dodge Dakota, Automatic trans., Key will not turn. Tried shaking the steering wheel, nothing. what would cause this?

HAVE YOU TRIED ANOTHER KEY? REMOVE THE KEY, SPRAY LOCK LUBRICANT IN THE LOCK
PUT THE KEY ALL THE WAY IN THE LOCK, TAP THE KEY IN A LITTLE FARTHER, HOLD FOOTBRAKE DOWN, WIGGLE THE STEERING WHEEL. IT MAY HELP THE JIGGLE THE GEARSHIFT.

Can i order a key for a 1993 dodge dakota

You can call a dodge dealer, give them the vin# and
they used to be able to cut you a key from that.
But if that method is obsolete, you can try this.
If your key was original equipment, roll the window up
and remove the door panel. Remove the clip from the
linkage rod on the door lock. Remove the spring clip
from the door lock assy. and remove the lock.
The door and ignition lock use the same key. Take
the door lock to a locksmith and they will make a
key for you. Hope this helps.

I lost my keys to my 96 dodge dakota so i tried to forcefully use a screwdriver to start it resulting in a busted ignition i can get it to turn to the point of starting but the starter isnt turning over...

you will have to take the steering wheel off and the steering collum apart to find the rod that actuates the real ignition switch..the thing you stick your key in..is not really the ignition switch....its just a key tumbler..and it would be best that a professional replace the key tumbler..because it is difficult to drill out..i know this isnt what you wanted to hear..but i hope it helps
