Question about 2001 Pontiac Aztek

Find the "black box" aftermarket alarm module undder the dash.
Google the make and model of the box as yopu see it on the cover or label with installation manual in the search, like "XYZ model 666 alarm installation instructions" Then use that as a guide for removal, any time they cut a wire, you need to splice them back together. It would be very helpful to Google and print the wiring for the car, too. On a scale from 1 to 10. This is an 8 in difficulty. If this is your first electrical car repair, get some experienced help. You need a basic understaning of all of the circuits that the alarm attaches to, especially how the factory anti-theft circuit works and have a "valid" key, meaning it's programmed to that ECU to start the car. This job goes way beyond most DIY'ers ability. Good luck.
