Question about 2001 Audi A6 2.7T

Wont crank when damp then ok

When misty out wont crank--nothing. wipers real slow. when drys back out starts fine. once every six months or so, for 2 years now. thinking some kind of relay switch? rain doesn't seem to do much, just a serious mist.

Did you happen to leave the windows down during the serious mist? If so, Nothing inside the car has weather pack seals on the plugs. So it could be practically any thing on the inside. I would look at the ignition plugs, fuse/relay panel plugs, and BCM plugs. Look for corrosion. White to a greenish color.

How long since a tune-up? Maybe your spark plug wires need replacing?

When vehicle is running fine, use a spray bottle filled with water, spray the spark wires, see if any reaction.

2002 Kia Rio the battery keeps dying while the car is running and the lights keep going down in the windshield wipers running real slow its got a six month old alternator the lights and turn signals go...

Charge the battery start the engine and confirm that the voltage at the battery is about 14 volts with engine running . If not it is likely the alternator is bad or the electrical connections from the alternator to the battery are defective.

A significant drain from the battery can be determined by observing the battery voltage after stopping the engine.

If it is under 12 and continues to drop trouble shoot for battery drain. If you suspect the radio pull the fuse and observe.

1992 chev k3500 when hot has trouble starting. selenoid tick tick sometimes & slow starter revs - starts fine cold, starter/selenoid was replaced less than 2 years ago. when the starter was going slow...

Not the coil, wouldn't affect or be affected by the slow starter. I would double check grounds and battery, starter, and alternator connections for a clean tight connection. I would be looking at doing voltage drop tests to look for high resistance in the start circuit.
You may have to get under the dash and find the source of the smoke. Sometimes the back of the fuse panel where the wiring connects in will get so hot the plastic starts to melt. Then the wires and connections go bad, and you can even have current cross feeding into another circuit-like your wipers are doing. So I would pull off the fuse box and check for that. Keep looking for something that burned. It's got to be electrical.
Starter and solenoid being only 2 years old, should be good. But if starter to battery positive post has no high resistance in that connection, and battery ground is known good, and if the small (?purple?) wire to starter solenoid has battery voltage or very close to it, when checked with a voltmeter while the key was held in crank, then you might want to have the starter taken off and tested. The solenoid will be tested as well. If when you checked the small wire to solenoid with key in crank, and had much less than battery voltage, like 5 or 6 volts, then problem is in start circuit between the ignition switch and the starter solenoid.
Good luck. Let us know what you find out.

My car will start hard ln cold weather20d cranks for long time starts then after couple min runs fine starts fine rest of day

I would start by changing spark plugs, if you haven't changed them in a while. If it has been wet there, raining frequently, then maybe spark plug wires too. That would maybe make sense why once it warms up and drys out it will start ok. I am not sure whether Subaru has the typical fuel pump problem or not, on my vehicle that I once had I turned the key on several times to cycle the fuel pump and my car seemed to start better. If that helps, it is just telled you that you better get the fuel pump replaced. Please rate my answer so I get points for it.

Did you check the timing belt to see if it broke? It ha a 2.5 and it has belt. Remove timing cover at the front of the engine and have someone crank it while you watch the cam to see if it turns. If it doesn't turn, replace the belt.

1997 chevy blazer s10 cranks but wont start

You have a new battery and it cranks. Turning over is cranking. You are saying it won't start after sitting for six months? What is an old mechanic? Was the cable installed at home during the one year layoff? It sounds as though you failed to hold the old mechanic responsible for installing the correct cable or adjusting the one you have ,so it will start. You have a safety switch issue by the sound of it. Make sure you have the right cable and then find out how to install and if applicable, adjust properly

My ss wont start. It has been sitting for six

you need to determine if you have spark at plugs or how much fuel pressure your pump is putting will need at least 55 psi of fuel to fire.

Starting in damp weather 1993 240 wagon, auto/od, 235k miles

perhaps you need a new cap and roter a new spark plug wire set. they don;t like moisture. also check to see if you have any broken or leaking vacuum hoses. the worse case senerio would be that your head gasket is leaking--at cold temps a little antifreeze will enter until everything warms up and it seals shut due to metal expanding. but since you say it's cold weather only--this probably wou;dn't be the case. good luck.
