You could have a bad bulb, a blown fuse, a bad headlight switch, or even a relay. or it might just be a bad connection at your headlight or at your dimmer switch.depending on the year of the vehicle will kind of narrow it down on what the problem might be. Example, if its a 1980 whatever they could be any of those things I just mentioned but if its a newer vehicle you're probably not going do you have those problems as long as you don't have really high intensity aftermarket headlight bulbs.. you shouldn't really have to worry about switch or a relay. You probably just got a bad bulb. I had a car that when one side would go out example the driver side it would be the next night the passenger side go out. Crazy how the headlights were timed that close together but it is what it is .Good luck and hopefully that fixes it.

2002 Yukon denali headlights not work....all otherlights and signals work fine, it is not the headlight switch or the switch on the column any ideas?????

Check the solenoid switch on the electrical panel under the hood. Just switch the solenoid for the lights with one of the others just to test it. This is a cheap thing to replace.

On my 2005 Chevy trailblazer my headlights are automatic, randomly when I'm driving they turn off on my and my high beams still work. I checked the fuses they still work. Can someone please help me?

They are controlled by a photosensor, my subaru legacy does the same thing, switch from running lights to main headlights when in auto mode, if you want to leave the lights on all the time switch out of auto mode

High beam headlights stuck on replaced switch same problem

It can be issue with headlight switch, but as its already been replaced.Try disconnecting high beam headlight wiring from headlight assembly and reconnect direct external wire from headlight switch to headlight assembly, then by switch see if headlight is getting off and turning on or not.

High beam headlights don't work, changed the bulbs, and checked the fuses, help

This is going to be a problem with your light switch or dimmer switch. Replace the light switch and see if that resolves the issue.

2002 f-350 headlight issues

I'm not sure about your model, but my 1991 EB Ford has a high-beam relay in the engine bay, near the battery. When you find it, replace it, and I'll bet your lights work then.

My right side headlight on my 1999 1.8t audi A4 isn't working..and Im wondering where the fuse box is?

Most likely this is not a fuse if it is just one headlight. Replace the headlight bulb and that should resolve the issue. If you have already done that start checking the wires for shorts or breaks and test the light switch itself.

-my car is 2003chevy monte carlo the daytime running lights no longer light and at night the dash lights no longer light and the radio lights are dim as is the gear shift selector light. can you help Dave

Hi David, Look for grounds, especially the headlight switch it self... Most of the time the issue you describe is resolved by replacing the headlight switch. There is a variable resistor that fails, over time.

If the headlight switch itself is loose, proper grounding would fail, and current runs other places.

Both the radio and the gear shifter are affected by the dimmer and on or off status of the headlight switch.

Interior light turn off when the headlight are on and the locks, and radio also turn off when the headlight are on

Try replacing the headlight switch. Most of your probs should be resolved. The switch being bad will cause a short in the dash and cause alot of weird things. But that switch does control all of which you are describing including the radio, when you turn your headlights on it dims your radio !

bad ground on battery to engine block, use jumper cable from negative to a metal bracket on engine and see if that resolves issue if so get a new ground cable.
