Did you check you hoses? Vacuum hose may be lose? Do you lose power? Could it be a lose wire? Check your battery terminals make sure theyre connecting tight to the cables, make sure theyre boty clean and erosion free.
Take the truck to a Autozone or O'reilly Auto parts and have the battery and the charging system tested with a special tool, they can advise you what is going on and it is a free service.
How do you describe "loses power" ? Does the engine stop, or what ? If oil pressure drops below 5psi and the light comes on, you could lose power to the fuel pump.

It sounds like you have a low voltage problem in the system, that is about all that will cause this. Keep in mind you must have the Alternator tested when this is actually happening, if not the system will test ok.
