Where is fuel filter located on my 1996 astravan deisel

Fuel filter should be located near the fuel tank under the truck possibly on the frame rail

Fuel filter front top of engine. You will have to remove air cleaner box to get to it. Fuel filter housing has a lever on the side to open drain for letting water out. Please let me know if this was helpful.

if you have the digifant fuel system.fuel filter is located under the vechicle near the rear axle. the cis fuel system fuel filter is located under the hood on the fuel distributor.you have to remove air filter housing to get to it.besure to relieve fuel pressure before replacing fuel filter.if not gas will spray everywhere can cause fire.gas pressure is very high.

fuel filer will be located blow ur chasy near fuel pump, generally.

The fuel filter may have a bleed screw, undo the bleed screw slightly and crank the engine over until fuel spurts out ,if it does then retighten screw. If that doesn't work then the next Best way is to crack open the nuts on the injectors and get someone to crank the engine over , as fuel starts to come out of the joint retighten them up. This should get most of the air out, any remaining will quickly clear after the engine runs for a while.

Ford 6.0 Diesel engines have two filters one on top of the motor near the old filter and one on the frame rail drivers side. Get to a warm building or try a additive to help ungel the fuel. your local auto parts place can help with additives now and in the future.

The fuel system is a drive by wire and there is no accellerator cable.Check the plug going into the injector pump and clean,there is probably water here stopping the correct voltage to the throttle pump spool.

do not understand you what you mean. assuming your car was ok before you changed f/filter you need to bleed the fuel system of air. esiest to do would be to loosen fuel line at the injectors and have assistant crank the engine while you observe for clear fuel leak without any air bubbles from fuel line.tighten fuel lines and start engine. might have to repeat a few times. good luck.
