I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab, manual seats. The drivers side seat won't recline. The side of seat with the lever unlatches, but the opposite side does not. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Lubrication. You will need to remove the seat from the cab, and lubricate all pivots associated with the recliner mechanism. These mechanisms are made of very cheap metal alloys, and are subject to jamming and rust.

SOURCE: Replace lever mechnism to recline seat

O'reily stocks a new handle that is especially made to replace the handle that broke. It attaches to the broken shaft you have sticking out of your seat. This is a common problem.

Ford 2008 expedition, power drivers seat won't recline, but everything else works.

Power Recliner
The driver seat has an electro-mechanical backrest adjuster. The backrest adjustment switch is located on the side of the seat cushion side shield and is part of the seat control switch. The recliner motor is mounted to the backrest frame. Power recliners and motors are only serviceable by installing a new backrest frame assembly.

How can we adjust driver's seat so it isn't reclined?

If the lever that controls reclining does not work, some previous owner probably broke the mechanism.

I bought a power drivers seat from a 1998 dodge ram. I have the wiring out of the truck but need to know where the wires connect. I have a 1997 dodge ram with manual seats and it's not wired for power...

The wiring should be mostly self contained in the seat. All you should need to provide is a power source and a ground. There are many places to tap into a 12V source.
I have linked to a nice wire key for that truck:

The video may not be much help but it may help identify the connections

Recline lever broke

most recline levers can be changed we a little effort most of the time they only have a few screws on the side of the seat I have seen a lot of dodge and jeep seats broke and if that is the case
with your you will have to have it wielded or replaced also if you get a used one beware of the car it came out of because of air bag in the seat and type of clushins do to seat

Someone will have to remove the seat and check the motor and linkage to see what is broken.

How do you take the back seat out of a dodge ram 1500 club cab

There should be a black lever tword the front of the seat pull that to flip it up, now there should be two brackets fastened to the seat there are two 1/2 bolts that you take out. After you have the bottom off you lift up on the back, it maybe hard but it should come off.

Hi I'm not to clued up on 2004 silverado 1500 LT crew cab, obviously you'll check the fuse box & even replace the fuse wouldn't hurt giving it a try. Also try checking the electric motor for the seat. No cables lose or broken? Nothing jamming the seat? Is there any sound at all coming from the area where all the electrics are under the seat? Can you hear a motor straining?Just a few thoughts. Good luck
