Check for corroded battery and other cables. Make sure there are no loose connections. It seems like there is not enough current getting through to the starter.

SOURCE: mini van wont start

It does sound like the battery. other items will work on a low battery but as kenh said there isn't enough amps to power the starter... it needs alot to turn over the motor. before you replace the battery you should test that the alternator is working properly. there is a simple test for it but i'm told as a safety issue that it's best left to a mechanic.

SOURCE: mini van wont start

Sounds like starter selanoid, but first make sure battery connections are clean and tight, if sure they are then turn on headlights and try to start if still clicks and lights dim its starter.

1989 Ford Econoline 150 Van will not start

Most all vehicles have main power cable to starter solenoid which is mounted on the starter where the power cable to the switch connects OR there is a separate heavy gauge red wire connected to the positive post of the battery that leads to the ignition switch. Also check your ground cable by connecting battery jumper cable to negative post on battery and other end to metal frame of van.

2003 dodge caravan will not start. Makes a clicking noise, and dash shuts off, then makes a humming sound.

im going to say an almost dead battery .the hum you hear might be the fuel pump.you never heard it before because the van normaly starts .so boost your van if it starts you may have to replace the altenator the guages, no worries many cars do that .thats a code needing erased and if you disconnect the battery that may go away.

98 plymouth van all panel gauges not working

You provide very limited information in your problem description, however, whenever I see any mention of dash gauges not working on these vehicles, I immediately suspect the soldered pins on the back of the instrument cluster circuit board. If you have also been having other trouble lights turning off and on erratically, then I would almost guarantee that this is the problem. Google "98 voyager instrument cluster solder" to find several posts describing how to fix your problem. It's rather simple, fairly quick, and free! I had this problem on my van recently and was amazed at how all problems were eliminated by re-soldering these pins.

Car wont start or Crank. All lights and gauges come on but when i go to turn the key all you is a click and that is it

sounds like a bad solenoid? i certainly hope you have checked the battery (you could have enough power to light up the gauges and still too little to start up the vehicle).

Intermittent electrical problems

If you have a relay/fuse panel on your driver's side, somewhere below your steering-wheel, try listening for the same sound when it would usually happen.

When I had this issue last, a bad fuse for my turn-signals the cause. It would just start clicking like normal, and then go triple speed at random.

For the gauges -With someone watching the gauges ( and car running ) try Gently shaking the wire/harnesses around your fuse/relay box and see if it fluctuates while you do it. If it does, you will need to isolate the wire, most likely the common connection in that system.
