I recently added a/c to my 96 acura integra and everything is hooked up, the blower turns on, the heat works, defrost works but when I turn the a/c button on nothing happens. the compressor and fan doesnt turno on, it isnt recharged yet because im having these problems and dont know where to go from here
It will not function until it has a refrigerant charge. There is a low pressure cycling switch in the AC compressor that will not let it function with low pressure. The system should be filled with PAG oil and refrigerant as that is what lubricates the AC compressor keeping it from destroying itself.

there is a thing called a blower motor resistor that controls the fan on cars these days. they are usually in the air box. check with a dealer for your car. its easy to change.
