My 1999 Toyota camry makes a rattling noise when in reverse and mostly on inclines. it does not make the noise in the winter but it does when its hot out. Sounds almost as if its coming from transmiss

even with the car a noise can be hard to find.does ti go away with rpms or stay.does motor vibrate hard when this occurs, you need to have a tech ride with you and try to point out noise so can be found .you can ck for loose heat shields and engine trans mounts. the trans car needs to be on drive up rack to ck trans out.

When i press the gas pedal i can hear a rattling sound

Hi, there a couple of things that can cause this rattling type noise on acceleration the most common was the serpentine drive belt tensioner there was a service bulletin to address this. That bulletin number is EG021-07. The other problem is with the heat shields on the exhaust have a tendency to rattle also. I would have your local mechanic inspect both of these issues have them pull the service bulletin to verify whether not yours has been replaced or is making noise.

When truck is in gear at idle rattling noise under RFront like exhaust

If the exhaust is not loose, rotted or leaking and you have verified that the area for this rattle is indeed coming from the exhaust, it could be a heat shield that has a broken spot weld. A heat shield is a thin metal cover on the outside of the exhaust. And are known to rattle over time.

Tapping / Rattle noise in engine at around 2,000 RPM in a 2002 Toyota Camry 4 Cylinder

Can you tell if it is actually inside the engine? Or is it just an exhaust shield that got loose? Since it is rattling, I would start by checking the exhaust shields.

Rattling/clattering exhaust noise from front bottom

It could be all of the things mentioned in your post. A loose/bent/misplaced heat shield will make noise at different engine speeds as various parts vibrate and (((RESONATE))) in harmony with engine speed. Also, a shifted/loose catalyst brick in the converter can be the culprit. If you KNOW for a fact that it IS an internal fault of the converter, it will need to be replaced. Chunks can be broken off as it rattles about and **** sideways downstream in the exhaust. This not only blocks exhaust, but can lead to a dangerous burn-through condition if the piece of hot catalyst wedges in a bend in the pipe where yo do NOT have additional heat shielding.

When I step on the gas to increase speed there is a strange rattle coming from outside. It stops making the noise until I increase speed again.

check the exhaust pipe at the front of the engine there is a heat shield sometimes rusts at the spot weld and the shield rattles on the pipe
easy repair use a hose clamp open the hose clamp up put the clamp around the pipe reconnect the hose clamp slide it over the heat shield and tighten the clamp up

89 volvo 240 dl when i put the car into gear i hear a clinking

need more info. I've had a few 240's come in that made noise when putting into gear. It was more of a KLUNK, then a constant rattle/buzz type of noise.
I turned out to be a combination of two noises, that were related. The motor mounts were shot and the exhaust heat shield above the rear muffler, was loose.
It seems that the broken mounts allowed excess exhaust pipe/muffler movement, which in turn came in contact with the loose heat shield. This was the KLUNK and the RATTLE.

Rattiling noise

most likely and exhaust mounting has come loose, the twisting action of the motor as it is put into gear, or powered up would make it rattle.
An exhaust heat shield come loose would also do this.
