Deteach the wire off the horn unit, replace when possible if it still does it after replacement has been fitted then it could d very well be a short in the wiring harness.

SOURCE: 1998 Lasabre horn sounding

oh my GOSH, we are having the same horn problem with our 1995 LeSabre, only it does it when it's cold, hot, or indifferent! I JUST got back inside the house at 4:30am from going out and hitting the darned thing to make it turn off. Grrrrr! If anyone can tell me how to disconnect the stupid thing, I SURE would appreciate it. (I might mention that I'm a girl, who knows very little about cars...)

This is probably a temp thing...night brings colder temps. The wiring may be failing or the steering wheel portion over the horn might harden and cause it to touch the center of the horn to make it go off.
Let me know if this helps.

your horn relay is located under the hood in the black box that also houses the fuses and relays for your whole car .. under the lid for this black box is the location for all the relays and fuses check it out and see if it has your horn relay in there thanks and holler if you need more. Jerry

Go to the auto parts store they have "T" connectors that plug right in, without having to cut any wires at all, they are great.

My horn hasn't worked in over 8 months and now all of a sudden when I'm driving it just keeps honking and won't stop on my 1999 dodge caravan

This sounds like a bad horn relay or the horn pads is bad,i would start by disconnecting the horn pad, caution with airbag, but if you remove the steering wheel cover and dissconnect horn button wires and then drive if horn still blows then you havea bad relay, if it doesnt blow anymore then the pad is bad ,

My Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 horn is going off in the middle of the night. I beat on the horn pad serveral times until it stops, then in a couple of hours it goes off again and the police show up. Is it...

Is the alarm causing the horn to honk? If so, you need to figure out what is causing the alarm to trigger, which could be any number of things.
Or, the panic module could be failing.
It is least likely to be the horn ring unless the only way you can get the horn to stop is by "beating the horn button on the steering wheel".

If it is, then you can replace the parts for the horn button, but you will need to get an assembly manual for the vehicle. Be sure to disconnect the battery before attempting to remove the airbag module. If it goes off, then you risk injury, and, they are not cheap to replace.

sounds like you have a short in the horn wiring or a bad ground wire these grounds are mostly located under the engine compartment near the back wall whitch is called the fire wall or beside the fenders

My horn keeps going off in the middle of the night and wont stop until you hit the horn several times and then will wait a little while and go off again

Just voluntarily fire the alarm off yourself each nite before you go to bed. Just hit the horn alarm button and let it blow once and hit it again to stop it. If you do this each nite it won't go off in the middle of the nite.

THE HORN NO LONGER WORKS WHEN YOU HIT THE AIR BAG.THE HORN USED TO WORK TO EASLY WHEN YOU JUST LIGTHLY TOUCHED THE AIR BAG THEN THE HORN WOULD SOUND WHEN YOU TURNED THE WHEEL MY FATHER PUNCHED THE AIR BAG...

I think he may have just bent the connection that activates the horn. Does it honk when you turn the wheel one way or the other? Try that and let me know what the out come is.
