I have hard break peddle with little breaking power. I checked the vacum pump a found 13 inches of vacum. the hose removed from the vacum booster will **** your finger to it with motor running. the truck...

Hello, Check other Vacuum lines for leaks. If you have a 4x4, they can have Vacuum operated hubs and a leak anywhere will draw down the Vacuum. I found most pumps running at about 21psi. Check for a Vacuum Reservoir. The older models used one looking like a coffee can and they would rust on the bottom and leak.

If you take off a vacuum line and use a hand vacuum pump, you should easily find a leak on one of the remote lines. Another test idea is to remove the Vacuum pump lines, put in soapy water, and pressurize with about 3 PSI. Any vacuum leaks will blow bubbles and soapy fluid. Its your choice on what to do. I would reserve the soapy water for a line I find to leak with a hand Vacuum pump.

Many of the people wih your problem replaced the vacuum pump and were good to go. But if you can measure the vacuum and find the leak, you may save money on a part you do not need.

their is only one solution and thats to fit a new clutch ,its worn and the pressure plate which is of the diaphragm spring type has come backwards which means that its not on the balance point but behind this point so it requires a size ten boot to kick it over this point and disengage .

power steering fluid does NOT go anywhere near the boot.but when you fitted a new rack did you turn steering wheel fully left and right several times to prime the rack and then check the fluid.....half a quart is a lot of fluid to add to the system (change your mechanic ASAP)MY BICHON COULD DO BETTER....

Ford fusion 2007, blown blower fuse, replaced fuse, works at highest speed only (highest of 4) the other three setings don't work.

hte blower resistor is shot, near the blower motor, have the blower motor checked my guess is that it requiring too much power to run, hence the blown fuse

Where is fuel pump on 1990 cavalier. how do I get to it?

The fuel pump is in the gas tank. It is nearly impossible for a private individual to replace a fuel pump on this GM platform, as it almost always requires the real axle and exhaust system to be dropped before the gas tank can be dropped.
The fuel pump costs about a hundred bucks, and the labor is usually anywhere from three to five hundred.

VW uses hydraulic oil (VW part # G 002 000) and not ATF. Your reservoir is located beside the battery, use a flathead screw driver to remove the cap/dipstick. Always clean dipstick with a clean rag before using as a measuring device.

COLD: The level should be +/- 2mm of the minimum mark. Adjust the fluid level if required and screw the cap back on hand tight when done.

HOT: With the engine running, temp should be above 50*C (122*F). The level should be between the Max and Min marker. Adjust the fluid and screw the top on hand tight when done.

Only use VW part # 002 000 Hydraulic OIL and not ATF

Accelerator sticks will drive without touching gas pedal had to have it towed

I found the 1996 Camry stuck accelerator problem. when it stuck it woul dbe due to the pedal cable going into a small covered box that housed the cruise control linkage. The bottom of the box is open and it would hold heat, expand the roller bearings that held the cables and the rollers would stick, keep ing the car accelerator pinned. once cooled down, it would roll again. take the cover off and leave it off to stay cool. WD the hell out of all of it, problem gone for another 50K miles. Did it for months before I found it, Toyota mechanics could never find it as it only did it when it heated up a bit or warm weather, etc.
