What is tcm internal memory error. Check engine came on. Code is p0605

Transmission Control module; It is monitored when the ignition key is on. In short, the software has failed and does not match a calculated value. This is an internal fault that requires TCM replacement.

How to remove a transmission control solenoid in a 1999 sebring lxi

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You need to remove the air cleaner assembly first. Next, detach the electrical connector from the TCM. Remove the mounting screws and take out the TCM from the vehicle.

My 2001 crysler sebring convertible is shifting hard. the guy up at autozone says its the shifter control module. anyboyd know where that is ?

It doesn't have a shifter control module. It has a transmission control module. But the problem you likely have is that you need to run a quick learn reset on the TCM. You will need a scanner to do this or have a shop do it for you. You need to reset the adaptive memory of the TCM and run it through quick learn.
