Electrical issue (we think)

step 1: you need an ODB11 reader, most AutoZones can rent you one to look for trouble codes.
Guess: the computer might be damaged.

2000 Hyundai Elantra will not start. Installed a new battery and will not turn over. Lights do not work as well. The only thing that works when I insert my key is the door dinging. I've had alternator...

Some cars have battery minders that have to be reset once the battery is removed. It is a device that senses low voltage and trips off to try to preserve remaining voltage inorder to start a car whose battery has run almost all the way down. Check your manual ..some minders will reset automatically others have to be manually reset.

Most likely a bad battery or battery terminal connection.

I can't start my 1995 hyundai elantra after forgetting to turn off the lights when going for class. I try to jump start it but the car won't start and all the lights keep on flashing and flick

After connecting battery, try using key in drivers door to lock, and /or unlock. Try passenger if that doesn't work, as well as valet key if it came with one.

2007 Hyundai Elantra has to be jump started. Battery is fine

from your comment, theres 3 things that can cause this, loose batt.post connection, weak batt.or something in elect. circuit that stays on after car is off and drains batt.,like underhood light, dome or truck light, what u can do is when u park car unhook batt. cable, make sure batt. is well charged, hook it up next day if car starts, its something that drains batt.in car! if it doesnt start, batt. needs replacing.i ruled out starter, dealer should have checked it to see if it was pulling too much amps, and that its easy to jump.
