Question about 1994 Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

I just replaced the dome lights on my 94 LeSabre but they still don't work..any ideas to fix them? I've had the car about a year and they've never worked during that time. I just checked the fuse.

The fuse looked fine but I replaced it with a 10A spare and the dome light still did not work.

Hi Fred Robson, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you.

Have you checked the dome light fuse? Does the door chime work?

No I haven't and I don't know anything about a door chime. I'll go check the fuses now. The fuse looked good but I replaced it with a 10A spare anyway. The dome light still did not light up.

95 Toyota Celica ST Dimmer Switch

The instrument dimmer function is most likely in the light switch. Pull the switch to turn the parking lights on. Then rotate the knob to bring the instrument lights on, continue rotation of the knob to bring the dome light on. Be sure to turn dome light off so as not to kill your battery. the dome light will not turn itself off.

95 buick lesabre door jam button that turns dome light on and off

The complexity of the problem depends upon whether your Buick has lights with or without illuminated entry. In the former, a remote accessory control module is used in addition to an interior lamps relay position F circuit which could have a sticking relay. The "simpler" circuit has no remote accessory control module.

If the check engine light is not on, I would check fuel pressure with a gauge. And if you have not replaced the fuel filter this year, that would be a good idea too.

The car sat for a few months and the battery died so I got a new battery and the security system wont let me start it. The little red light is constantly flashing. n 98 buick leSabre

This is pretty common on GM vehicles. The problem is that its hard to diagnose which part of the system is failing. Mechanics will charge heavily and trouble shooting yourself can be expensive buying things you dont need. DON'T even think about going to the dealer. I've been dealing in these systems for years and the best, most cost effective way to fix this is to just bypass the whole system. Here is a link for info and DO IT YOURSELF solutions.

'94 LeSabre hood stuck

I had the same problem, it is very common in this year and have to take off the grill and remove the locking latch from the hood. there is sill the hook that will hold the hood down. It just will not lock. You can then replace the whole locking mechanism because it is not fixable. You may also have to replace the handle because sometimes that breaks too, but thats an inexpensive fix.
