Have someone pump the brake pedal several times then have them hold it down crack open the bleeder on passenger side till pedal goes down close bleeder have them do it again till no air comes out then do the same thing to the drivers side but do not let the master cylinder go empty

SOURCE: unable to bleed front brakes

loosen the front brake line that goes to the master cylinder fill master cylinder up with fluid and bleed it first by attaching a flexible line from master cylinder front brake side submerge that line into jar of brakefluid keeping air from entering line get someone to pump brake pedal while ur holding line in a jar keep refilling the brake resivoir so no air gets in, once the master is bled front brake side then reattach the origional brake line then remove bleed screw from caliper and let fluid gravity flow down to calliper then bleed the normal way. more than likely your master cylinder has air trapped in the front portion good luck

SOURCE: 2005 CHEVY +TRAIL BLAZER ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS ON

if chains caused problem and you have driven with them off light would have gone out once it saw everything working properly. look at sensors might have pulled a wire loose with chains. the abs system runs a self test everytime you start vehicle if it sees a history code from last time it will leave light on and look to see if that problem still exists and 99% of the time it will cut light off . but need to have scanned and checked out

SOURCE: 2005 CHEVY +TRAIL BLAZER ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS ON

When the ABS light is on when driving there is a problem in the anti lock brake system and you will need to have it tested to find out what the problem is. As long as the light is on the ABS has been shut off by the computer until it is repaired. There could be problems with one of the wheel speed sensors, wiring or the ABS pump. On some vehicles the red brake light will come on too.

SOURCE: 1999 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. Replacing rear pad's,& Bleeding Breaks

have one person in the blazer pumping the brake pedal and then hold to the floor, crack the bleeder then tighten, release pedal, repeat till all air is out one side at a time, if this does not work then your ABS unit is bad witch if u follow your lines from your master cylinder u will find a black box with a motor on it, or the master cylinder itself is bad, it also can cause u to have no pedal, replace the master cylinder first, most likely cheaper.

2002 Chevy trail blazer front brakes don't seem to

Um more likely than not you have air in your brake system. I'd suggest bleed your front brakes and make sure your master cyinder cap is tightened also. You may also have a leak somewhere check the reservoir and make sure its not extremely low which would suggest there is a leak somewhere, and check your lines.

Replaced brake line on 1999 blazer bleed brakes still goes to floor

you need to start at the farthest rear and bleed it make sure someone is pumping and holding brake while doing this .. then move to next farthest .. then pass front and then driver side until the whole system has gotten air out.. keep your brake master cylinder full all the time..

2003 Chevy Trail Blazer Top brake light works along with turn signals, but no brake lights

It is the turn signal switch. You must remove the air bag and pull the steering wheel. Special tools are required and the airbag can cause serious injury if mishandled.

Just changed rear disc pads and one caliper on 2001 Chevy Blazer...now rear brakes are not working at all...fluid is in lines as it comes out when bleeding...help!

the problem here is in order to bleed the brakes properly u need to have a special tool to open up the ABS high pressure pop-it valves, this special tool will be avail at the dealer or in a generic form at any well equiped front end shop, u just can't bleed the brakes without it, I see this same posted problem over and over, this information is correct, u will need a shop to bleed the brakes

Just got new front brake pads and rotors on 1995 blazer. When braking, there is an ''air-like'' sound....pssssssh, when you push down on the brake. Needs further bleeding? Should we take back to mechanic?...

It depends here...if the pedal goes all the way down when you brake then it will need further bleeding. Now it also depends if there is enough pressure from the master cylinder.
