I have a 95 ford f150 i need to know why 3rd and fourth gear isnt working? And would it overheat if the tranny was going out

Most modern electronic controlled auto transmissions have shift solenoids located underneath the bottom pan. Remove pan and inspect for a solenoid coming apart. Easy to replace.

I have a 95 ford escort lx and while driving the car shut off so i turned the key off and tried to crank it it turns over but wont catch and i cant push my brake pedal down because it locked up can anybody...

When was the car last serviced fully? Its 20 years old.
The problem with the brakes is that the servo doesn't work unless the engine runs. I suspect the poor brake pedal, ie Rock hard, is because of this. Get the engine sorted out and it may fix the brakes?

My 95 ford 350 7.3 turbo is having trouble deciding to go into over drive or not. I either have to let off or go faster.Tranny fluid is not burnt. Does it have a tranny filter and if so where

the filter is in the sump of the transmission. The od selection is controlled by the TCM and servo/solenoids. run the fault codes to determine the cause of the fault.

Liitle break

It is a round cylinder that is bolted to the firewall/bulkhead and the brake master cylinder is mounted on it. The servo has a largish vacuum pipe going to it from the inlet manifold on the engine.

sounds to me that you have a problem with the coolant and the engine oil mixing the (milkshake in the recovery bottle) does it overheat? prior to shutting down? also does it blow white smoke out of the tailpipe? likely it is a bad head gasket(s)
