SOURCE: cooling fans will not run

Most GMs use a relay package to turn on the fans. That is often controlled through a processor package. Very complicated...if yours is one of them. You will need Mitchell's manual or equal to trace this to see if you have all the signals.

SOURCE: cooling fan not working

The fans only run when the engine reaches approxminatly 235 degrees F. on the guage that is near the end of scale just before guage show "HOT" I don't think you have a problem, allot of folks out there don't know about this.

SOURCE: Cooling fan wont work

The water temp sensor is located near the thermostat housing. This sensor is what tells the ECM to turn the fan on/off. The water temp sending unit is located near the same area. You know you have the correct sensor is because the water temp sensor has a 2 prong plug. The water temp sending unit only has 1 prong.

Were is the temperature sender on nissan serena c24 2000 year the fans are not kicking in thanks

If I were you I'd check the cooling fans relays first . See if the PCM is energizing the relays . Does your vehicle have A/C ? Does it work ? When the A/C is turned on the fan should come on , does it ? Does your vehicle have any running problems ? Does the transmission shift alright ? If these are good your coolant temp . sensor is good . The temp. sensor is an input to the PCM / ECM -engine computer . The engine computer energizes the relays . cooling fan relay 1 an cooling fan relay 2 an cooling fan relay 3 . Do you know what a relay is ? A scan tool would be a big help in diagnosing this problem . You can check temp data ,see if the PCM/ECM can energize the relays etc... check for DTC'S -diagnostic trouble codes . Most people do not want to hear this ,but you would be better off taking your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.

Engine cooling fan only works when ac or defrost is on

if engine at long stand still, the engine temperature will rise about 190 degrees the cooling fan suppose to automaticaly turn on when coolant temperature sensor get hot it cause its resistance decrease causing pcm to send power to coolant fan relays and cooling fans, when you turn on AC the cooling fans suppose to turn on to cool down AC CONDENSOR, IF NOT AC WONT WORK COOLING FAN COOLS DOWN REFRIGERANT SO IT CAN RECYCLE THROUGH THE SYSTEM AGAIN.your cooling is suppose to turn on when engine at a sit still if vechicle not moving as coolant temperature rises at a set point the cooling fans will turn on cool down engine.cooling fans dont turn on when you first cold stsrt vechicle unless you have AC SWITCH ON.if cooling fans dont turn on when vechicle at a long stand still or moving along slow traffic.if coolant temperature sensor been replaced and fuses and relays okay have dealership check see if pcm driver circuit working faulty pcm will cause cooling fans not to turn on.

198 mercury sable cooling fans motor

Cooling fans ( on radiator ) only come on when the engine reaches a certain (hot) temprature. There is a temp sensor threaded into the radiator end reservoir that switches a relay off and on that runs the fans. Either the temp sensor or the relay is probably bad. Normally , those fans will not be on if the car is moving , the air flow from just driving is sufficient to cool the rad. If you stopped and idled for a while , eventually the rad would heat up enough for the fans to come on.

Radiator fan not turning on time

Check the rad fan fuse or the relay under the hood.
Is the temp going too high? Check and make sure you are not low on rad fluid (engine cool). An air pocket where the fan temp sensor on the rad is located will not activate the sensor.

Failing that, check the rad temp sensor which activates the fan. If this sensor does not close at high temp...the fan won't work.

Cooling fans stay on

your fan will also come on when the defroster is on and when the airconditioning is on so it could be something to do with the inside temp controls
