Go to RockAuto... member the Ford Ranger is a Mazda too! Just use the same engine size around the same year and you're fine, if you can't find it as a Ford part.

SOURCE: 97 Ford Taurus 24val 3.0L 6cyl, P1518 IMRC open

There is a technical sevice bulletin for this exact issue. Go to the dealer and request they reprogram the pcm. You should not pay more than a half hour labor, they'll probably try to get a diagnosis fee out of you. Tell them no, just reprogram the pcm to latest calibration. If this doesn't fix it, then repost or pay to chat, but that should fix ya.

relay # 5 - is the fuel pump relay in your PD BOX

also , the fuel pump inertia (shut off) switch is in the right front passengers

How to remove crankshaft harmonic balancer on 01 ford ranger 2.5

95 Buick...92 Nissan pathfinder??

I thought the question is for a 01 FORD Ranger and not everything else. The Ranger balancer does not have holes in it other than those used to balance the thing. How do you put bolts into holes that are not there, drill and tap your own? Or is there another tool that is used in this case? Maybe expanding the question as such may narrow down the responses to a good one ... that helps?

Thanks, Ranger owner or mechanic

Code p1537 foe a 2002 ford ranger 2.3 engine

P1537 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open.

You might want to look at the IMRC valve. It is probably sticking from carbon build up? Use top engine cleaner and clean the air plenum.

Once you have done this clear the codes and go for a ride. About 30 miles should do it. If you have anymore codes it will come back up.

Code P1537$10 whats code and how do I fix it,it is on a 2002 ford ranger with 2.3 liter engine.

DTC P1537 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open Bank 1 and 2

It controls the length and speed of incoming air for a certain engine rpm to optimize swirl, efficiency, and minimize knocking. It's long and fast for low rpm and idle, short and large volume for higher engine loads. How's your truck running? I'm guessing it would be lean at idle if it's stuck open. I would look at your vacuum lines on the intake manifold. I think it would be vacuum operated.

Keep in mind that the IMRC Valves are located on the back of the intake and are listed as an item that the dealer needs to diagnose and repair.

Hope this helps.

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger 2.3l 5 speed. My truck codes P2004 witch is IMRC stuck open. I checked rhe vaccum lines and the electrical connection and they were fine. The only thing left to do is change the...

are the little plastic bushings still intact on the irmc linkage? the only thing about leaving alone is the light will stay on and you may not have the torque needed if passing or pulling or hauling a load.

How to fix a stuck bank one imrc on 01 mustang

Free up the valve with a spray penetrant, check for leaking vacuum hoses,if applies,or possibly replace the IMRC Valve, if vacuum or electrical issues exist. What were the codes? What engine?
