I would check the coil. Then the distributor and cap. If they are good make sure battery cables are tight and all grounds are connected to the frame as needed. Is your battery fully charged if not charge it. Also check your ignition switch make sure contacts are good

If you are right and the starter is just clicking and you said your battery is good. Make sure your battery cables are clean, check connections at the starter itself. Also you have to check starter relay swap with a known good relay i usually swap horn and starter relay, if they are the same, that way you can press the horn button to check the relay after you swapped it. But defiantly sounds like either wiring problem or internal starter issues. If everything is good my professional option I would replace starter after all that.

1990 Cadillac Seville won't start.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

1990 cavalier stopped while driving wont crank have changed alternator, battery, and starter

Do your headlights work? When you turn your key to accessory, do you have power to your radio and heater? If so, the first thing to check would be the fuse box under your hood. Locate the "starter relay" and have it replaced or checked at your local auto parts store. Next things to check would be the starter solenoid and the ignition coil. Try cleaning the contacts and ensuring that you have good connections. This can easily be done by loosening/tightening them and/or unplugging/plugging them back in.

1990 honda wont start or crank, the lights dont come on, head or inside the car

The distributor in the hondas has a function of also engaging the coil to create spark. No spark = no fire. Perhaps take a plug out, leave the lead on, hold it with INSULATED pliers against a solid metal part of the engine and get someone to crank the engine over.

If the plug sparks - coil and firing switch OK. If no spark, check coil first - remove main + feed lead from coil terminals and check on a meter for power with key on but NO motor cranking. No power = faulty distributor/firing switch. No other ideas sorry!

If it won't turn over you may want to check Battery cables for tightness and/or corrosion Starter solenoid Neutral or clutch safety switch

I have a 96 cavy z24 battery died but was able to get car home

you may have blown a fuse in a process of remove and install the alternator ( the car was running before that right? )
so check all your fuses and fusible links coming from the starter.
check for spark at spark plugs
check for fuel pressure
these will help you to issolate problems

Oil where spark plugs go?

For the oil it seems like head gaskets need replacing. As far as the electrical issue, sound like you may have a damaged wire from the ignition to the starter, I would try to trace the current to all electrical components; battery, starter alternator and see if you can find the area of the bad wire.

Car wont start

I can only say that for the old cars even sitting for a year is not healthy, because most parts of engine, starting system, charging system will get corroded/deposited. Most probably you will need to change battery, motor oil, fuel, spark plugs, check the starter and alternator. Also check the fuel pump, fuel filter. First shot would be battery, fuel, spark plugs and starter.
Good Luck

Car died and will not restart

Have you had your Battery, starter and alternator checked? if starter or alternator bad will drain battery. If battery is bad will damage alternator over period of time. If not changed. Also check your battery cables, make sure your +/- is without corrosion. Possible voltage regulator.Hope this helps..
