All the main fuses are under the hood in the fuse panel. Some cars have fusible links it the wiring, they are usually down connected to the starter. If all are good, you most likely blew a computer. Year make and model helps.

How do I remove the main fuse in an 02 Suzuki Grand Vitari XL7?

Sparks do fly, the last connection on the cables is ground
to a metal , on engine not battery,
this will make a small, spark. all do, that. done right.
but if done backwards, a huge spark with the 2 batteries bucking each other, and damage will happen.!
yes you may blow the main fuses,
my guess you blew the 80amp fuse in the main fuse box under hood.
did you put the new battery in correctly Plus to PLUS
and NEG to NEG lugs, if not, BOOM AGAIN.
open hood,
fuse 1, if it ok, then the others fuse to the right blew.
when fuse 1 blows, all things die. zero power to anything in car
including head lights, (head lights are always the first check)

What happen if hook baterie wrong

If you are lucky the main fuse from the battery, in the underhood fuse box will blow. Follow the small positive battery cable to the fuse box, it is attached to that fuse.

78 f250 battery backwards

Could be fusible Master link which is sometimes around battery and runs to fuse box. Looks like fat wire and melts connection from battery to body.

Another possibility is the wires to the Ignition switch. Most are inactive until the Ignition is turned on, but with reversed polarity things can happen.

Fusible Relays. You are lucky most of your truck is not computerized. But there may be an Ignition relay and a Light relay. Some had a grey module on the distributor.

Test for the fusible link first and see if it has melted. If you have power to the fuse box, check that there is power on the power side of the panel.

Nothing electrical works

the main terminal is a heavy red wire attached to the fuse block it should be clean and tight. also you can hook a test light from the battery neg. to the terminal it should light. if it doesn't light you could have a bad engine ground (primary ground). or a poor connection tot he main fuse block terminal previously mentioned
