Question about Ford Mustang
I tried to turn it over with the bar but no success didn't want to go any farther until asked a couple questions to see what might be good I'm thinking removing the valve covers and looking at the top and seeing if they tell us to change broken or if it's down in the bottom it?
If the engine was running for a time before you selected a gear, you would have heard a serious noise before it stopped if anything went wrong ( top or bottom)
try removing the starter motor as it is possible that the pinion stayed engaged in the ring gear and the starter motor is jammed ( burnt out in the armature and bushes)
it it turns backwards on the bar it could be the starter or a problem in the gear box or torque converter
