Hi chris kossnar, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?

Are these aftermarket rims? Did the car come with HUD already & are the fuses good?

  • chris kossnar Apr 28, 2015

Thanx for replying. The HUD did come with the car, & it is working, it's the spring &/or the mount that is broken, so I can't adjust it, can't see it until/unless I get the that spring/mount fixed. The double whammy is the fact that as I eluded to, immediately upon getting my tires rotated a tire pressure warning activated-& is still there, thus there is certain info that I cannot see at all since it shows only on the HUD & instrument panel. Very frustrating. These are not after market rims. Obviously the fuses are good for the HUD. The tires are all at the appropriate air pressure, the rotation itself caused the warning light, & Idk how to turn it off. Thanx for your willingness to help!!

By fine you mean 32 PSI, need to be 36 PSI for most of those horrible wheel sensors. The hud is probably shot and since Pontiac is gone, good luck getting parts.

SOURCE: check tire pressure light reset, 1999 Grand AM

Pop the fuse panel cover off the driver side fuse box, you have to open the door to get to it. With the key in the ignition and in the "ON" position, hold down the button in the fuse box that says "reset". The Tire Pressure or Oil Change light will start to blink, let go and push it one more time and the light will go off.

Ford Freestar Message Center not visible. Need help resetting tire warning light.

You can't reset the tire pressure warning light (TPMS), when the pressure is adjusted or the sensor replaced (if the warning is false) the light will go out, there is no reset. Check the air pressure in all the tires, they should be about 34 PSI all around.

What does warning light that looks like horeshoe with an explanation point inside mean?

The Tire Air Pressure Monitoring System. Intended to alert you when your tire pressure is low. Damaged tires, low air pressure, temperature changes and faulty monitor may all cause the system to turn on. The warning light resembles a horseshoe with an exclamation point in the center.

Low tire pressure indicator came on today. All tire are at right pressure. How to reset?

BMW low tire pressure sensors use the speed sensors at the wheels to detect a flat tire. If any one tire is much newer or older than the other three, the warning will trigger. Tire chains tend to set it off as well.
There should be a button on the console that has a pattern that looks like the low pressure warning light - the profile of a tire with an explanation point inside. After you start the engine but before moving, press and hold that button until the warning light in the instrument cluster illuminates yellow. Then drive normally. That should re-initialize the tire pressure warning system.

Exclamation point warning light came on...what

A yellow explanation point symbol on the dashboard typically applies to the Tire Pressure Monitoring system. A thick ! inside a half drawn flat tire symbol to be complete and comes in yellow color when lit. Under normal vehicle set-up, if this indicator stays lit after the power-on selftest, you need to check your tires for any uneven pressures and adjust their pressures to correct specifications. Okay? : )

A red exclamation point inside a circle when lit indicates your parking brake is on, or your brake fluid level is low.

Yeah Its a tire pressure monitor. When the temperature decreases, the tire pressure light comes on if they are just a little bit low. I filled mine up to the proper PSI and it stopped the issue.

The check tire pressure light and ABS auto traction sensor light keep coming on. Tire pressure is good

The tire pressure monitor detects any changes in the tire inflation pressure. Therefore, it must initialize and store it in its memory if the tires or wheels have been replaced, re-inflated or the tires have been rotated. You should be able to re-initialize the system by following these steps:

1. check and make sure that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure

2. turn the ignition switch to the ON position. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (think the switch is in the glovebox, but not sure) until the warning light turns off and then release the switch.

3. now press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the low tire pressure warning light blinks three times.

4. initialization is *not* completed until driving at the vehicle speed of 19 mph or over for more than one hour. the tire pressure monitoring starts when initialization is completed.
