My 2001 Honda Odyssey is saying I have trouble codes p0108,p0122,p0740,p0780,p0300 what causes all these trouble codes what is the problem with it please help

The problem could be the torque converter itself or the sensor circuit for the clutch.
Best to have a Transmission Expert look at it to see if any further damage has occurred.

A code P0122 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • TPS not mounted securely
  • TPS circuit short to ground or another wire
  • Faulty TPS
  • Damaged computer (PCM)
Possible Solutions Some recommended troubleshooting and repair steps are:
  • Carefully check the throttle position sensor (TPS), wiring connector, and wiring for breaks, etc. Repair or replace as necessary
  • Check the voltage at the TPS (refer to a service manual for your vehicle for specific information). If the voltage is too low that is indicative of a problem. Replace if necessary.
  • If recently replaced the TPS may need to be adjusted. On some vehicles the installation instructions call for the TPS to be properly aligned or adjusted, consult a repair manual for specifics.
  • If there are no symptoms at all, the problem may be intermittent and clearing the code may resolve the issue temporarily. If this is the case then you should definitely check the wiring to be sure it's not rubbing on anything, grounding, etc. The code may come back.
A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plugs or wires
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  • Faulty camshaft position sensor
  • Defective computer
Possible Solutions If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.
Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak
in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.

Being 11 years old,I think you just bought
a car, the previous owner got out of, because
you need a Transaxle Rebuild.

11 years is a long time for a transaxle

May be the second round for it.

You are experencing a SOFT CODE... Go and put a Scanner on the Car (keep it running) and write down the codes.. Transmission in your YEAR/MODEL are known to have huge transmission problems....

Keep the ENGINE RUNNING and get the Codes. Expect something in the P1457 or P0740

Thermostat Range/Performance

Trouble Code Conditions: DTC P0107, P0108, P0112, P0113, P0116-118, P0335, P0336, P0300-P0306, P0401, P0505, P1106-P1108, P1259 and P1519, engine running at road load for 10 minutes, and the PCM detected the ECT sensor input did not reach the correct closed loop value. Note: It is possible for this code to set if the engine is left running while the hood is open for an extended period in a warm climate.

If you over 100,000 miles handa says replace the trans if your under you may be under warranty.

Got an A/T DTC 0740? Don't Replace the Solenoids
If you're troubleshooting a '99-04 Odyssey for an A/T DTC P0740 (lock-up control system), don't replace the TCC, shift, or linear A/B solenoids if the A/T has more than 10,000 miles racked up. What's most likely causing this DTC is low line pressure resulting from the inlet screen being clogged with clutch material. To fix this problem, see additional information below, and replace the A/T.

I have a 20001 Odyssey with 70,000. The check engine light and TCS light both came on. The TCS light has since gone out but the check engine remains. I went to an auto parts store and their computer came...

Customer Concern: The check engine light is on with the trouble code P0740 present. Tests/Procedures: 1. Test drive the vehicle and watch the tachometer. See if the automatic transmission locks up. If unable to see the RPM change, and the Engine Control Module (ECM) is turning on the lockup solenoids, then the problem has to be internal to the transmission. Honda torque converter clutch solenoid circuit


P0740 is a Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction, you will need to have just this circuit tested, it is mostly just a defective Torque converter clutch solenoid in the trans or a defective connection to the trans, u do not need another overhaul.
