If it was a fire your best bet is to get an electrical diagram, and if you would like if you can describe the issue and wires to me i can try to go through this with you just msg me back also if you have never done anything like this before it is going to be a heck of a job and if you have never read a diagram you might want to look up some videos on how to read automotive diagrams but like i said i will help you as well just msg me back

It sounds like your question is more about what to do about the bill than the repair. That's actually not uncommon. I am unfamiliar with the system there but here if we get faced with one of those "guess what you own a Mercedes" type bills you need to be talking to the service manager, if he can't do anything (common) talk to the regional and then national service managers. Basically what can and does happen is the national will put the dealer on the spot about it ie fix this or loose your franchise. For some reason even the most greedy "stealerships" will change their mind on the value of the repair. Sometimes covering it it entirely under warranty or under special coverage. Unfortunately that is about all you can do. Generally they will do something if this really is from a manufacturers or systemic fault, however sometimes you just have to pay the bill no matter howlarge or undeserved..

Blinkers and stereo stopped working; then started working a while later; next day the headlights started blinking on and off, then stayed on; is this several fuses?

Fuses do not cause electrical problems - electrical problems case blown fuses. You most likely have a bad connection somewhere or a charging system problem that is making the computers do weird things. The thing to do would be to do a THOROUGH check of your starting and charging system FIRST. Then, ONLY if the starting/charging system receives a "clean bill of health", scan your ENTIRE computer network, including the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Antilock Brake System (ABS) module, Body Control Module (BCM) and any other available modules on your vehicle for fault codes and diagnose according to any fault codes retrieved. Please note that a scan of the entire network is recommended because a power-related fault in one module will usually be reported by another module. (The modules rarely ever tell on themselves.) Clues/codes should be collected from ALL modules to aid in an accurate diagnosis.

Hello, You need to read system with a scanner to Find out what code is set and what component, Wiring is causing the fault. Would be best to have system read with a GM scanner.

05 pontiac Bonn with 35000 miles, the car shudders when it shifts into second gear.

Hey Ben, you might want to try changing the transmission filter and fluid - dirty, messy job but not difficult or spendy. Parts readily obtainable at local Auto Zone or equivalent store. 1- raise front of car and secure with jack stands. 2- loosen transmission pan bolts starting with the rear ones until fluid begins to drip into drain receptacle ( no drain plug so you need to slightly loosen pan for drainage) 3-once fluid has stopped dripping remove entire pan. 4-filter is held in place by clips that allow it to slide out at an angle remove and replace with new one-after that just reverse procedure remembering to tighten bolts in a 'star' pattern so as to have even pressure on gasket for a proper seal. Let me know how it goes - Bonnies rule!!
