I had a 2002 model 1.4 Fiesta, same problem Engine management light or
ECA, electronic accelaration Control (EAC), it needs a ford dealer to do
a computer diagnostic, most likely that it will need replaced.
Mt friend who is a mechanic for ford said that it was a common factory fault and is very common in 1.4 zetec /duratec petrol models.
I now have a 2007 Fusion and was quick to see if this problem had been sorted on this model, and it has!!
Hope this helps!!

your problem is probably caused by a sticking door switch try spraying wd40 in the door latches and opening and closing the doors several time do all the doors or you can take it to the dealer and they can scan the body control module and tell you which one it is

SOURCE: drivers side turn signal does
Hi, usually if the signal is blinking fast, it means there is a problem with the circuit. Usually this is caused by a lightbulb going out. They've engineered the cars to blink fast to let you know that the bulb might be out, since you usually can't see your own turn signals. I'd try replacing the rear taillight bulb first to see if that fixes the problem.
As for the signal that does not shut off, i would start at the bulbs and access them and check there connectors for melting. This unit is known for this, unplug the bulb and check its connectors, check all four Also the ground for the r/f turn signal and headlamp is right by the headlamp, its a wire that is bolted to the body Thats about all I can think of right now, there is no known problems like this through Ford
