Metaphors are words or phrases that normally describe one thing being used to describe something else to imply a similarity. Ex. A blanket of snow. Snow isn't a blanket, but is somewhat like one. Not to be confused with simile, which is a direct (rather than implied) comparison. Ex. Watching baseball is like watching paint dry but without all the excitement.

That's probably 'metaphor' -

The definition of a metaphor is "a figure of speech containing an implied comparison, in which a word or phrase ordinarily and primarily used of one thing is applied to another. For example, "the curtain of night" or "all the world's a stage."

Awd will not go into reverse manual transmission

no year, no joy,
old post.
top inputs are:
year, model body, and sub model, EX ? or?
and country.; not all cars are the same world wide, and this is the www. ! if car is in USA, say so. no one ever has, but do be the first. please.

now a generic answer,
bad M/T clutch.
yes, reverse IS THE CANARY Gear (mine shaft metaphor)
it is a no synchro gear and love to grind, (fact)
#1 top failure for all m/t clutch is.
bad actuator.
from the tip of toe to the bell housing lever, this actuator can fail.
so if the bell lever dont move .75 to 1 inch, the actuator parts are bad, no matter if a cable or hyda, MC/slave.
no matter.
if the actuator is good, then the actual clutch is bad. (locked)
