Is it safe or ok to drive the truck a short distance of 15 miles if the throw out bearing just went out?

Hello Brenda, I would bet there are a bunch of Macho Men that would tell you it is OK to drive it that few of miles. Fact is , it is very dangerous for both you and anyone on the road because you won't have complete control of your car if you have to stop at a stop sign or stoplight. It's better to have it towed. Be safe.

It sounds like the throw out bearing separated. You will want to change the clutch and pressure plate when you replace the throw out bearing.

How many miles? Possible fuel pump problem, need to attach fuel pressure gauge to port on engine fuel rail and drive vehicle to see if fuel pump quits pumping fuel.
