It won't take anything if the a/c clutch isn't engaging could have a deeper problem with system relays , clogged filter , evaporator , condenser ect should get system checked out

SOURCE: 2007 Ford Edge air condition is blowing out hot heat does it need freon or what?

Yes it sounds like charging ac system will fix your problem. It has to be leaking if this is the problem and you should have sealant injected into the system also. Go to nearest auto zone, they will fix you up with nwhat you need

SOURCE: 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer air conditioner

Your 2003 A/C refrigerant is R134A not R12, commonly called Freon.

If "will not take Freon" means that you have checked the A/C pressure and its correct, the question becomes why is the A/C not working.

A common cause is the compressor clutch not engaging. If you turn on the A/C and interior fan, the engine should slow down as it takes the load from the compressor. If this is not happening, the clutch is not engaging.

If you were simply told that your car "does not take Freon", then this is correct (see above), but lets assume that the refrigerant pressure was not actually checked. The most common fault (and now quite likely in a 2003) is the refrigerant has leaked out through pin hole corrosion. This is most commonly the condensor in front of the radiator. Any AC garage can tell in a few minutes if the pressure is correct or not.

The fix is replacing the condensor and drier cannister, vacuuming out the system (mandatory) and repressurizing. Get quotes including parts from reputable AC garages. Many are not in my experience.

SOURCE: Where is the air conditioning drain hose for a

It’s in the hardest place to reach they could put it. Get under your car and follow the firewall near the center. You'll see a small hose poking out that you can barely reach with an air hose wand. Debris often plug the drain hose. If you hear water sloshing on the passenger side in the dash and/or the passenger side carpet is soaked, blow air through the drain tube to unblock it. Also the grommet around the hose there at the firewall can deteriorate and let condensed water blow back into the driver’s side floor pan. With a lot of effort you can pack silicon sealant around the drain tube at the exiting firewall location and solve that problem. With real effort you can place silicon around it from the interior also. If you don't have a compartment filter or your filter is old and ineffective, you'll be amazed at how much debris sets on your condenser coil down there in the center of the dash (if your airflow is less than you remember and not as cold, the condenser coil is likely covered in debris)...and it's almost impossible to clean it out without disassembling the dash. That's another story on how to fix...

SOURCE: air condition blows hot air but it has freon

You may have created an over charged condition and at this point the a/c compressor will cut off on high head pressures. This can be verified by installing gauges to the systems high and low side service taps and reading the pressures. An overcharged system will start the compressor briefly but soon cuts off once pressure goes to 350 - 400 lbs on the high side. Acceptable pressures for this system should be no greater than 250 high and low suction should drop to 40-50 psi.You might recover the charge and evacuate the system, then try bringing the charge back to proper level.A sight glass in the reciever drier really helps determining proper fill.Once all bubbles have dissipated from the sight glass during charging ,one should stop at that point to avoid overfilling.Too much freon is worse than a low charge especially in hot ambient conditions....

SOURCE: 1990 f250 air condition problem

Here is my opinion:
If you just change the type of refrigerant, there are many other things to consider.
The most important, i guess, is the fact that you have the change oil and accumulator receiver, along with a complete system cleaning in order to remove ALL of the type of oiul used for R12.
This is because, if you dont do this, the compressor will fail, due to the oil for R12 and oil type for a R134a system.
Try it this way, it should work good.
Also check your suction line valve for a clog or your gauge manifold blue line rubber gasket, and do not apply too much force when you hook the hose to the valve, as this may reduce the quantity of refrigerant going in the system.
Hope this help....

Good luck..........

2007 Mitsubishi eclipse spider 2.4 blowing warm air not cold What is the paid supposed to be I know it takes 19 oz. Of freon I'm I suppose. To discharge before recharge?

Its best to evacuate the a/c but if you are careful you may be able to hook up your freon tank and lightly charge the system if it works cold just let it be and if when it is real hot it feels warm instead of cold you might add just a little more freon but be careful.

2007 Mitsubishi eclipse spider just put in clutch kit now it will not engage I can put it in gear without car on and I can push the car back and forth

Sounds possible you have the friction plate in backwards and there is no clearance. Retrace your steps and check the clutch operating mechanism, then any gear linkage. With the clutch centre plate, the raised part of the spring carrier is usually facing outwards toward the pressure plate fingers.

Ac problems

This could mean the freon is low,or internal problems with the ac,try charging the system, you may have to reset the ac system if the ac compressor will not come on to charge the system,by removing the negative battery cable for 20 seconds, and the putting it back.If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.
