What would it cost to replace the hoses on EVAP on 2003 Jeep Gr. Cherokee on canister

they can look cracked on the out side but not be leaking. You need to do a leak down test of your complete system. If your lite is coming on and you had it checked and it says small leak or large leak it is most likely the small vacume pump or diaphram in the evap system.they get stuck and just leak over 2001 grand cherokee does this from time to time.I just went on ebay and bought the cheapest code reader i could find $20.00 and free ship.I just erase it when my check engine light comes on.

Code p1494 grand laredo cherokee 2001

Here is the definition.
You'll need a shop manual for the procedures.

P1494 JEEP Description The Evaporative emissions system is designed to prevent the escape of fuel vapors from the fuel system. Leaks in the system, can allow vapors to escape into the atmosphere. The leak detection system tests for EVAP system leaks and blockage.

During the self-diagnostics, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) first checks the Leak Detection Pump (LDP) for electrical and mechanical faults. If the first checks pass, the PCM then uses the LD pump to seal the vent valve and pump air into the system to pressurize it. If a leak is present, the PCM will continue pumping the LDP to replace the air that leaks out. The PCM determines the size of the leak based on how fast/long it must pump the LDP as it tries to maintain pressure in the system.

That is your check engine light. It signals that your jeep needs service, that something is wrong with your vehicle. Have it checked.

My 2001 Jeep has evap leak codes p0455 and p0442, it has been smoke tested and there were no leaks found, but the codes are still there any ideas

I do not know the codes but after a smoke test ,I would use the codes and a schematic to walk down and test every switch or valve in the EVAP System. A professional scanner would be nice,so you could command somethings on and off.

I got a 2001 cherokee sport with the check engine light on, according with the mechanic is something related to the gas cap but I already change it and the light wont come off

if it is an evap code, yes a loose or faulty cap could cause the light, but you also need to check the evap
for broken lines or valve

Engine light on with code 1494runs ok for now but light want stay off when i have it taken off, was told it was sensor to motor, but that there was four different ones and they don't know which one it...

P1494 means Leak Detection Pump Switch or Mechanical Fault - This code appears when there's an issue with the EVAP System (fuel tank fumes) This can be caused by a improperly secured gas cap, faulty gas cap, crack in the vacuum line, etc.
