There is you have to locate it depending on it being standard or automatic a neutral safety switch is a switch the creates a loop when in park or neutral (might be found on shifter or trans side) on standards they are usually on the clutch pedal engine won't crank until either in park or neutral or when clutch pedal is depressed find switch and unplug it and jump wires bypassing switch keeping the circuit closed and engine should crank over while in gear with no clutch or in any gear p r n d 1 2 ect wouldn't recommend doing this however not sure why you looking to bypass this switch but can be dangerous especially in standard vehicles reaching into the vehicle to start it forgetting its in gear it could start a take off or crank and not start but lurching forward or backward
