Could be the battery isn't charged enough to turn the motor over. Try jumping it and listen under the hood for any grinding or metalic sounds. You can have lights inside but not enough to start the motor.

SOURCE: Clicking noise when attempting to start my 2001 Acura RL

The clicking sound is the solenoid trying to operate and engage the starter. Have the battery checked for voltage and load, if it proves to be okay you may have a stuck starter which will require replacement and or repair.

Attempted to jump start my 2001 3.5 rl acura and

10gage cables?
does engine turn by hand? if not,its seized.
the starter can pull 500 amps. (if cold) its called a series wound motor.
and the harder the engine turns, the more amps and HP from this
electric motor. id turn it by hand, if you can turn the engine crank
by hand than try real jumper cable (they cost more) and if they
fail the starter is jammed, or is shorted.
starters can be dead, shorted, open, weak, or jammed.
if the engine spins, take the starter to any autostore, they test it for free.

Car won't start.Battery has full charge but just clicks when key is turned

Hi,
REmove battery cables and clean off all signs of corrosion. Re-install making sure you have tight connections. If still no starter crank, could be a bad starter, check voltage at starter large red wire post to ground on engine block. Should be same as battery voltage. If not , take starter out and to parts store will they will test it free, replace if nessesary.....Mike

My acura rl 3.5 2005 don't start, but the batery is good and all accesories work!

Hmm, sounds to me like a bad starter. If you can see it and get at it easy enough, I would make sure the connections on it are tight.

Then useing a test light, test the smaller lead for power while someone tries cranking it over.

If it has power at the terminal then you need a new starter.

Acura 96 rl wont start. Checked all fuses ender the hood and in the fuse panel. Pulled starter relay and checked connectivity also ignition switch plug. All points checked out. Cant find neutral switch and...

since youve said that al other checks were good then im lead to believe that the ignighter is bad usually you can find this under the dist.cap you will have to take the cap off remove the coil and this will give you access to the ignighter pull it up and out disconnect the wire harness and replace with a new one.
