Try unlocking and locking the drivers door with the key, will most likely reset the theft system

SOURCE: 2005 ford taurus. Remote entry wont work theft light keeps blinking when key is engaged

HI, I'm reading your problem,
Let me explain something about your car.

2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.

If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.

OK.. I hope this information work for you.

SOURCE: 2001 ford taurus wont start and anti-theft light is blinking

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

Try pulling the fuse for the anti theft system and starting. If the car starts normally, then the problem is with the theft system. The theft system will reset itself after a period of time.

Take the negative cable off of the battery, charge/replace battery, put negative cable back on, crank engine and turn off. System should be reset.

My taurus wont start or even turn over battery connections all ok. my theft light is blinking faster than normal could this be a reason for not starting? if so what do i do or try? im frustrated......

yes the fast blinking theft light indicates that theft mode is activated. you wont be able to start the vehicle until you have the keys reprogrammed at your local ford dealer.

It does not start yet the battery is good?

This is not a solution, but a suggestion, If the car can't start but it does crank and roll over.... It's either electrical or fuel. But as a suggestion to Ford cars, there is a fuel inertia reset button...sometime this button get reset for some unknown reason and that will cause the car not to start. So maybe check that out before heading towards other culprit. This fuel reset switch is on the passanger side under the glove box compartment to the right. it is labeled too. It just need to be pressed to reset. Sometimes you can refer to your own manual about a mere clearfication. I hope this will help, let me know if it works.

If you are reseting a factory alarm...lock and unlock the drivers door with the key. If you don't know the code look under the dash driver side in left corner there should be a black cover with a sticker with a code on it 6 numbers that is the factory code.
