Try starting fluid. Gas is probably bad and needs to be drained. The engine will fire or run briefly with starting fluid verifying a fuel problem.

SOURCE: I have 1990 Celica GT 2200. no spark to plugs/power to fuel pump

need to change rotor and cap , and might as well change wires and spark plugs if its due for a tuneup! yeah have your ignition control module check if it doesn't start after replacing every thing else.

SOURCE: replaced alternator, now car won't start

disconnecting the battery on an alternator is a no no. that was how they used to ck generators but an alternator can be damaged with no load in the circuit. Try changing out your MAF sensor. 1st sensor coming out of the air cleaner. good luck.

SOURCE: 1989 mustang gt 5.0 fuel

Was looking at posts and other sites. I take it that some relays are even under seats. Anyway, Apparently the ECU relay and the ECC relay are linked. When properly operating the ECC brain sends a signal to the ECC relay and the ground wire is tan/green. The brain can be throwing the signal and the relay terminals are not receiving the signals, so the relays cannot switch.

Although you have replaced some relays, you need to check your plugins for these 2 relays.

Car will start run for 5 to 10 min. then cut off

I had that happen on a ford pick-up truck , It was the ignition module ! What's it like when it stops , does it seam like it's running out of fuel or does it just stop all of a sudden ? When it stops don't let it sit , try spraying carburetor cleaner in the throttle plate to see if it will start, if it starts you know you have a fuel delivery problem . If that doesn't work pull a coil an see if you have spark , watch yourself you don't want to get sapped by the spark ! You need to find out what's cutting out , spark or fuel ! Then you can test the system in question !

1990mustang gt dies while driving and won't turn back on

As with any no start issue, you will have to figure out if you are loosing fuel to the injectors or spark to the plugs to proceed.
Common problems with Ford products is the ignition module and the fuel pump relay.

The 1990 XJ6 has been sitting for the last 2 years and now won't start. The engine turns over fine. The dash gages don't seem to operate. I filled the gas tank with 5 gallons of premium gas. HELP!!!

I wish I could give you an instant fix, but I can't. Do you have spark? If so then its either your fuel pump or the CPS, crank position sensor. If no spark then it could be your coil.

1990 2.3 stang won't start after sitting a few months got spark, had to jump fuel pump relay to get fuel pump to work got 35-40 psi but when i turn the key the fuel pressure drops.I fixed ground to...

If I remember correctly, the signal for the pump comes from the cam sensor. The pump should run for 3-6 seconds when the key is first turned to the "on" position and then when the ECU registers pulse from the cam sensor it sends the signal to the relay to run the pump. If you have a signal coming out of the cam sensor I would look to ECU replacement.

I have a 1990 Cadillac Deville that has been sitting for approximately a year. I have put a new battery, new plugs, and it has fuel and is getting fuel pressure. It will not start, it turns over but will...

If it was running fine prior to sitting, then the timing is probably OK. If it was sitting because of a blown head gasket then that's another story.
Did you check the pressure with a guage or just by probing the test port and watching fuel come out?
Make sure you are getting spark (probe the plug wire as close to the plug as possible with a test light or remove the plug from the engine, put back in wire and watch the plug for spark). If good move on to the coil, etc. Check the ignition relay.
Check the compression

Check the basics, fuel pressure, fuel filter plugged, spark plugs, dirty air filter, coil output-use an old spark plug and watch spark intensity. Could be a plugged cat. Good luck!!
