Sounds like the switch in the steering column,, vehicle is 18 yo and when you use the blinker a lot the paddles wear out.. spray some WD40 in between the housing, follow the lever, ,might work, put a rag down to catch drips..

In the fuse box under dash but the turn signal and hazard work off it. Your problem is ether a fuse, relay or the switch

SOURCE: 1994 devilles flasher location

Turn signal flasher module is behind dash left of steering column near chime module. I have a 94 Seville and I had that same problem you need a Turn Signal Flasher Moduel, I forgot the proper term for it but I had to get mine replaced too. When I hit the signals to turn the side light would come on but the signal light wouldn't. Its a little box you get from Cadillac it only cost like $20 - $25 and you get it installed and trust. It'll work again. I just got mine done this week and my car now has turn signals again.

SOURCE: location turn signal flasher 1998 ford explorer

You find the flasher on the steering column. You have to remove the cover located between the steering wheel and instrument panel. There you find the flasher.
Before replacing the flasher check the wirings to the flasher.

The 2 fuses are no 10 (7.5amp) and no 21(15amp) in the interior fuse panel. The flasher is located on the base of steering column under dash. See this this pic find connector c214 on bottom 3rd from right.

Need a wiring diagram for that turn signal system.

Do the 4 way hazards work? If so check the column switch. If not check the fuses and then the flasher unit itself.

Does any have a wiring schematic for a 98 ford explorer xlt?

Best thing is to do a Web search titled "1998 ford explorer wiring diagram". This will give you results which include fuse boxes and power boxes and color coded wiring routing. Check for other items that are on the same fuse as the turn signals to see if they work. The turn signal flasher unit could also be bad.

Where is the location of the turn signal flasher on a 1995 Ford Explorer? The manual does not mention it.

Ford Explorer's utilize a Multifunction Switch on the turn signal stalk, but the flasher relay location depends on the year. Either under the steering column (remove lower plastic shroud) or under hood with other fuses, links, and relays, inside a rectangular plastic enclosure). If you've bought the new relay, you'll know what you're looking for.
I have the same year and model, and my flasher is yellow with square-like a relay and extra extended cover, under dash to the left of the steering wheel, fastened with clip to lower upper hidden edge just below your knees.

I was reading that the yellow flasher/relay is for Explorers with a tow package, got to looking around at the electrical on the towing and it was all corroded by the plug in end on the rear of the 1995 eddie bauer explorer, removed it, cut wires off and taped up, tucked up in bumber, replaced fuse in fuse box leftest row, one about 4rth or 5th down blue in color was blown, everything works great now.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

Turn signal does not work, and neithr d the hazards, I know they are on the samefuse but which one?

What you know sometimes inst so, Fuse #10 and #21 power the hazard/turn signal flasher. Maybe the turn signal switch is bad.

Where is the signal flasher located fo an 2003 ford expedition eddie bauer

Typically the location is the fuse box. check your manual.
but more importantly, what are you trying to solve. If signals work correctly in one direction but not the other the issue is NOT the flasher. Typically the issue is not the flasher, but rather some light or grounding issue...test carefully

I have a 1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer. While driving the other day I noticed the compass/thermometer flash on and off then go dead. Along with that the message center, rear ac controls and blinkers went out....

I would start with a relay. If all of them are on the same relay that could be your problem. I had the same problem on a Ford F-150. They all had a relay in common and it fixed the problem.
