The check balls I put back in were slightly larger. You should be able to get them from any transmission shop or the Chevy dealer. I got my gasket from the Chevy dealer.

Yes, it's a torque convertor shudder. Flush your transmission fluid and add an additive to help shudder (shudder fix, etc). That fixes most of the vehicle, the others will need a convertor. Try to keep transmission serviced around every 30k will help this concern.

04 ram 1500 2wd. trans shudder at cruising speeds under 55? Doesn't during acceleration. Change filter and fluid to no avail.

That sounds like a torque converter problem more than likely. It sounds like it's trying to lock up (supposed to do that above 60mph) at a low speed. It will feel like a harsh shift or a shudder when it's trying to engage. Just to make sure I'm correct, drive it and listen to all the gears. When at 55-60mph after it has gone into it's top gear it will normally drop about 200-300rpm when the torque converter locks up.

Torque convertor shudder going uphill in my 1992 Dodge Caravan, A604-transmission.

A TC shudder on a 604 is the first sign of the end. You may can get away with putting a torque converter in it , if you do it soon ( tomorrow). If it shudders going up hill it is most likely not the converter since the clutch is released under load. I would suspect and engine miss first.I am constantly dealing with vehicles that someone has diagnosed as a converter shudder and turns out to be something else , most the time just a bad coil or set of plug wires.

Severe lack of power 1991 Geo Storm,

When you say "fixed", do you mean that you put the new belt on it?
If so, you probably missed a tooth in the belt placement. This usually happens when you wrap the wrong way during the procedure and the marks don't end up lining up.
Also check for other things like pinched wires or something disconnected that didn't get put back in the right spot. (vacuum lines?)
