Symptoms of bad transmission strainer 1995 Cadillac Sedan Deville

In a vehicle of that advanced age, if the transmission has not been serviced in the past five years or 50,000 miles (especially if the car has ever been driven in hot weather), it is a good idea to simply replace the transmission filter ("strainer") and all transmission fluid, as well as the pan gasket. Old, dirty transmission fluid and clogged transmission filters are the primary cause of catastrophic transmission failure, and it makes good sense to service the transmission at regular intervals.

I have a 2005 Honda accord Lx Need too know how do you remove the strainer from the transmission?

There is no external strainer. I would suggest draining and refilling it with honda ATF Z1 fluid . If you still have issues I would suggest getting it checked out at a transmission shop. I have seen a lot of defective honda transmission issues over the years

1998 toyota corolla transmission heats up and quits

From my experience with transmissions your clutches are going out. If i am correct it run fine and even shifts good until it get hot correct? Check your trans strainer and inspect for dirty sludge in strainer if so that is residue from your clutches if not change fluid and strainer and see what happens.

Where is filter located on an aotomatic transmission for a 1997 mercury tracer

Transmission filter is located on the bottom of the valve body in the transmission. You have to drop the transmission oil pan to replace the transmission filter and transmission fluid.

Need to know where fuel filter is located on my 2003 nissan altima

It has a filter in the gas tank like a strainer on the fuel pump.It should be serviced every 110,000 miles did you know it also has no transmission filter either, that you only drain and replace oil cant take the pan off its right above frame rail.
