98 honda accord how to clear check engine light car is fixed

You need an OBD-II scantool to reset the Check Engine light. Places like Autozone will read your codes for you but most will not reset the Check Engine light because of liability issues. You need to either purchase a code reader with reset capability or find someone who has one to do it for you.

Which fuse handles the check engine light in a 1995 Toyota Tercel DX? My mechanic said not to worry about it, but it is driving me crazy.

the problem you are having now with the check engine light isn't the issue, you're mechanic telling you not to worry about it is. It may very well be a small issue right now but I wouldn't try to disable the light. Think of it this way. You may not have an issue now, but what happens if you get a larger issue with you're vehicle and you've disabled the engine light?? you won't know that something is wrong. I would think about getting the issue fixed to turn the light off and that way if you have an engine problem later the light will go on to inform you

Turn off engine warning light

Can you be more specific? Are you looking to turn off the check engine light? If so you need a VAG-COM diagnostic tool. Just resetting the light without correcting the issue will only be a very temporary fix, it will come back on as soon as the system detects the issue again.

ETS Warning light and check engine lights came on at the same time

On certain issues that cause the 'check engine' light to come on, the 'computer' shuts off the 'Electronic Traction System' (ETS) to save power incase it is needed due to the issue. The main thing to focus on in this situation is why is the 'check engine' light on. You can go to your local auto parts store and ask them to check what code(s) is being given. Once the issue that is making the 'check engine' light is fixed then the 'ETS Off' light should also turn off.

How to reset the check engine on a 208 chevy

Just disconnect the battery (negative terminal) and turn the headlight switch on for about 15 minutes. This should reset the PCM. Otherwise go to Advance and have them hookup the code reader and reset the codes. Thanks

Engine light on again

its always best to take you vehicle to the dealership for this type of issue. if the light is blinking, this will represent a serious issue but, if it is just staying illuminated, this will represent an Emissions issue. In any case, a diagnostic scan should be run on the ecm to retrieve the trouble codes stored at this time. The codes will direct you to the problem and, it will tell you how to fix it as well. the light cna be reset by the diagnostic cpu and it will shut off once the issue is fixed. Auto zone can run the diagnostic for free.

Check engine light

this light is warning you of a serious issue concerning a failed sensor in the engine. you will need to run this vehicle in the nearest dealership for a diagnostic scan on the ecm/pcm device. this scan will give detailed info on the location of the problem and how to fix it. this scan cpu will also reset the light and it will shut off once the issue is fixed.

If you just want to shut the light off, you can just pull the battery post for a minute. this will reset the ecm but, if the issue is not fixed, the light will come back on in the coming days.

Check Engine Light with Code P0072 on 2004 Volvo XC90

Grounding issue "Circuit low" = ground wire problem or another system on the same circuit using too much current.

Check all wiring issues and then correct the issue to have the code go away :)
