What engine is in it? answers depend on THAT. (accurate)
ever put in spark plugs this decade?
engine (good engines)
stall for these reasons.
1: BAD SPARK (do a tune up ever?)
2: BAD FUELING. (too much floods talls, tool little stave stall)
3: EGR main valve stuck open.
4: ISC stuck closed (idle speed controller)
5: lost 12vdc power to the EFI system, (loose fuse?)

This maybe due to a dirty Idle Air control valve or a throttle position sensor. YouTube can provide good answers for removal and testing of the Throttle Positon Sensor (TPS) as well as cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC)

My 2005 Suzuki Forenza brake light and battery light on dash are on but battery and brakes are good.

you lost the operators guide,?
it costs $4 for a 1 day read. at
https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1028-2005-forenza-owners-manual.aspx

if you had that and read the warning light page you'd know...
did you check all fuses yet?
the battery light is really a battery charge lamp light.
if that lamp is out key on , only the lamp is bad.
if that lamp is out running, the alternator has shut down, (ask how to find true cause) or the engine is idling WAY below 800 RPM , is it?
brakes 101
the lamp serves many functions.
1: hand brake stuck on,.
2: low fluid in the MC Reservoir. (on master cylinder)
3: the front or rear brakes are weak or bad, (pressure diff, valve switch is active (bad news, do not drive)
4: ABS told , this lamp its not happy? (see FSM on topic)
if the 2st two are good, you then read the FSM. on brakes.

the fsm is here too , and has a 1 day pass....

is engine idling way too low ? not at 800rpm or more>?
that be first to fix, if true. and unsaid.
is the fan belt tight to the Alternator ?
is system voltage at 13.3 to 15v running, ( I BET NOT)
if NOT, fix that first , non of the electronics likes voltages much
below 10v, and well cause the engine to stall, as battery depletes.

Will someone please tell me what code numbers 700 and 178 mean? It's for a 2005 Suzuki Forenza Wagon.

can you tell us what told you that.
1: autozoned
2: your car dash
3: your scan tool?

if a real scan tool it will show, P0700
p0 means federal std. codes....

P0700 Suzuki - Transaxle Control System Malfunction
P0178 i cant find. please post full numbers and letters. all count

this engine is hard to work on
its a Frankenmix car, Suzuki, Daewoo, GM-Holden mix.
my wild guess it has GM engine controls, so getting good info is hard.
but is at alldata.com , log in see diagnostics section for codes.

Troubleshooting for stalling on 2005 Suzuki Forenza

vast checks. really!
EGR stuck open?
but can save the stall, with a fast right foot action,
using the wrong cap with a non suz, missing vacuum breaker will stall the pump an then engine.
stalls can be.
1: engine issues, (compression bad on one or more cyl.)
2: bad spark
3: bad fueling. in that order.
if compression good and spark at all cylinders are good.
the you check fueling.
1: are spark plugs dry , white or black carbon, and/ or dripping in fuel?
reading spark plugs works on all gas engine. 100 years span. to now.
Google how to read spark plugs.
this engine is EFI. and as such can do lots of things.
leaking injectors. clogged , or dead.
low fuel pressure.
too high fuel pressures.
at the least
