SOURCE: fuel pump location and replacement

You are looking for the constant control relay module- ( CCRM ) see below. The pump will be located inside the fuel tank. Most of the time , its the pump and not the relay but, it wouldn't hurt to check the relay out. Teh relay is housed in the CCRM. Its located behind the engine coolant reservoir.

Check your ECM fuse. There should be 2 fuses for your ECM. It's the ECM that controls the function of the fuel pump. Good luck friend and it's also common for the wire harness from the frame to the fuel pump to go bad due to corrosion from the bad weather we get in the winter and rainy spring and fall.

SOURCE: how to replace fuel pump on 96 subaru legacy

You start by disconnecting the battery. Remove the fuel-pump, and put back the new one. Use some rag to catch up excess fuel. Safety: be very aware of the wiring conections.!

SOURCE: 1997 Ford F150 Electric Fuel Pump will npt pump

Did you check the fuel inertia switch in the passenger side kick panel ?

The fuel pump is powered :
the fuse to the fuel pump relay.
The fuel pump relay to the fuel inertia switch
The fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump itself.

At the fuel inertia switch in the kick panel, power from the relay is the Dark Green w/ Yellow stripe wire and the pink w/ black stripe wire is the power. from the fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump.

If you jumper the fuel pump relay, you should hear it run. If not pull the fuel pump relay, and check the pins in the relay socket, pin 30 should be the power from the fuse.

If you have power at pin #30, jumper the relay socket as shown with the red line above, and check the dark green w/ yellow stripe wire at the fuel inertia switch for power.
Press the button on the top of the fuel inertia switch, and check for power leaving the fuel inertia switch on the pink w/ black stripe wire.

This is tests good, check for power at the fuel pump, same pink w/ black stripe wire.
Fuel inertia switch info is in the owners manual, If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

1991 legacy turn has no power to the fuel pump. Replaced the filter and pump relay. The pump will run if it is hard wired.

You didn't mention the fuse but I'll assume it's good since you already replaced the relay. Unfortunately, the only think you can do at this point is trace the power wire and check for opens and shorts in the circuit. Depending on if you used the existing fuel pump ground or your own, you'll want to check and see if the ground has good continuity. I hope this info helps.

The fuel pump relay is located under the dash on the drivers side. The fuel pump relay is green and it should be next to a brown relay for the ignition.

My subaru 1997 wont start no fuel going in the engine o energy for fuel pump i think is my fuel relay but i dont know the location of it and i need to know the location of the computer

first check fuel pressure, guages sold at local auto store run $30-$50.. but it is a quick hook up and sorts out alot of maybe'sss.

if in fact there is no pressure you are likely correct in looking at a relay or the pump itself.. relay should be labelled with all the other in hood compartment..

whereas, the fuel pump is likely in the tank, so drop the tank, and replace.. they go for about $100 for a rebuilt.. don't forget to also change the fuel filter.. Subaru put the filter easily located in engine compartment.

Good luck

2000 Subaru Outback wont start.. no fuel.

Are your injectors firing into the engine? You can buy a test kit to double check that. Is there spark at the plugs?

I had the same problem sorta with my civic it turns out after doing timing belt water pump, and many gaskets i had a huge vaccum leak.

Also check your fuel lines to see if they are loosing pressure somewhere

1991 subaru legacy. The car would not start. I change the fuel filter and tapped on the fuel pump. It started. A few days later same thing. Tapped on the fuel, worked again. A few days later same thing....

You should have a fuse & a relay. Check # 11 fuse it should be 15 amp.& may be for your fuel pump. Do you have owners manual by chance, or does cover of fuses have label?
