This was submerged in water I drained and replaced the gas, and water separator. Will fire but wont stay running Could it be the injectors

Dont know what it is but change oil,drain gas,clean points dry everything and start over

I have a 2002 jeep liberty limited. wont stay running. have to stay on the gas for it to continue to run. if u let off it will die out. sounds rough an it sounds like a something flappin. wat is wrong

Could be any number of things. Bad spark plug wires. Vacuum leak. Fuel pump on the fritz. Bad TPS. Buggy fuel injector.
Is the check engine light on?
Need more input!
Either way it sounds like a qualified mechanic needs to take a look at it for you. It'll save you the aggravation of searching perpetually for a free quick fix.

Truck just died at stop sign a block from home and will not start

assuming the vehicle is a diesel because you say you drained the water separator ? What engine ? What fuel pressure does it have to the injectors ? Do the injectors fire ?
Ford 7 3 powerstroke crank no start due to low icp injection pressure...
Do you know how to trouble shoot diesel engines ? Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop .

I put in bad gas in and it stopped running. i already changed the fuel filter. but now its stalling and running ruff and wont stay running

changing the filter wont get rid of the bad gas ---need to drain tank of bad gas and also re-replace the fuel filter also check the plugs not damaged or plugged

I have a 95 geo tracker fires right up then dies within 5 secs will run on either it's like it's not getting gas but the fuel pump works just changed the filter old one when i drained it the fuel looked...

when was the last time, it was a daily driver a DD.

this is common. and for sure very old cars like this.
ever do the 60k mile tuneup,
runs on test fuel , aka :Ether.

Just because a fuel pump buzzes, means little, very little.

the filter drained clay, well that is bad fuel.
try pumping tank fuel to a clear mayo jar and let it sit.
not clear amber, water bubbes, red rust, dirt ,slime, or even red alge? BINGO

you might check that the injectors are firing, with a NOID lamp.
I bet they are and are packed
the injectors have screens, 10 Microns in size
no , they dont come out, a pro injector shop ,back flushes them
no small task, but is $19 each,. ASK.
stalls or dies. always , forever.

I have a 1988 ford bronco xlt and it wont start.I have replaced the 2 pumps and now they operate nicely.I get pressure out of the schraeder valve on fuel rail.I also have power at all injectors upon...

It could clog injectors and mess with regulator. I would start by replacing fuel filter and regulator and see if it fires up then. Do this and let me know.

It runs like it is out of gas. i replaced the fuel pump and filter. all cylinders are firing. when running, runs like it is out of gas, then starts running fine, and when i give it a lil bit of gas, push...

You got fire and fuel .............. you may have water in your fuel system or your fuel injectors may be bad . Try some stp gas treatment before checking injectors .

1991 dodge 150 new fuel pump 30,000 miles ago. Has been setting for 4yrs. Truck runs for a few seconds if you pour gas into it but wont stay running. Have been told not good for this system to set for that...

the injectors may have clogged--especially if the gas was 4 years old. You will need fresh gas and probably need to clean out the injectors. Loosen the gas line to the throttle body to make sure you are getting fuel pressure. Then, look into the barrel while cranking to see if the injectors are firing. If they will not fire, replace them. Its actualy a 1kz 3.0 litre turbo deisel had water in fuel injector pump required replacment so replaced with s/h one off running engine reasembled engine injectors where supost to be serviced units...

Im wonderin if some of that water got into the cylinder area and bent a rod ruining the compression--did u ride thru a flood zone--mite want to do a test--also scan vehicle and test injector pump off engine
