1990 chevy silverado wont disingage new clutch and pressureplate...master cylinder and slave cylinders are new and have been bleed extensively...cant figure out why it wont fully disingage

this is really a simple problem to fix. Pull the gear box and turn the clutch pale around because the plate hub centre is hitting on the flywheel stud heads . The clutch plate only go in one way.

Engine off shifts engine on grinds when putting in gear

The clutch plate can only be fitted one way. If you noticed one side of the plate has a raised section that contains springs. The other side is flat. Puting the plate the wrong way round allows the raised section to hit the heads of the flywheel bolts and this is causing the clutch to spin even though you have the foot on the clutch. Make sure you have properly bled the air from the clutch system. Mostly there is a notice printed on the clutch plate which reads like flywheel side or this side away from flywheel

Subaru justy wont go into any gear

when was the clutch plate last replaced was it lately and the problem just started after the change
next there is a bush/bearing in the center of the crankshaft that failes/ dry and that seizes in the input shaft of the gear box and makes the clutch useless as it drives the box all the time
another thing is any oil or grease on the clutch lining will stick the plate to the flywheel face and cause a problem
if the clutch plates are old , the damper springs can come out /break and intere with the flywheel mounting bolts
removing the transmissions and checking the clutch assemblies will reveal the reason for the failure

Are you sure you installed clutch plate facing right way? They are either stamped or have a tag says "flywheel side". Or might have wrong clutch kit.

A new clutch was just put into my 1990 Honda Civic sedan. Right after, I noticed that I have to "shift" sooner from gear to gear than I previously did. For instance, where before I could wait...

Sounds like the clutch wasn't installed right. I think the pressure plate or clutch plate is slipping. Take it back as it should be covered under the workmanship portion of the warranty. When clutches are shipped, the pressure plate is machined and then coated with oil so it doesn't rust. Your installer may have forgot to take the oil off.

You have a high spot on your clutch plate...the tapping is the fly wheel passing by the clutch plate. If you're rolling and in second gear and put the clutch in your essentially simulating the same scenario as sitting still with the clutch in.

As long as the clutch is not slipping or shaking the vehicle on take off; what you're hearing is perfectly normal.
