Got code P0026, replaced oil control valve and the solenoid next to it. still the code came back

answer courtesy of obd-codes.com Potential causes of a P0026 diagnostic trouble code may include: Low engine oil level or contaminated oil Clogged oil system Malfunctioning control solenoid Malfunctioning camshaft actuator Timing chain/belt loose or incorrectly adjusted Malfunctioning ECM/PCM Possible Solutions Engine oil - Check the engine oil level to make sure engine oil capacity is sufficient. Since the actuators work on oil pressure, the proper amount of oil is critical to ensure proper operation of the VVT system. Dirty or contaminated fluid may cause buildup which can lead to failure of the control solenoid or the camshaft actuator. Control solenoid - The control solenoid for the camshaft can be checked for continuity using a Digital volt/ohm meter (DVOM) using the ohms function, by unplugging the solenoid wiring harness connector and checking the resistance of the solenoid with the (+) and (-) leads of the DVOM on each terminal. Ensure the internal resistance is within manufacturers specifications if available. If resistance is within specifications, remove the control solenoid to verify it is not contaminated, or if there is damage to the sealing O rings to cause a loss of oil pressure. Camshaft actuator - The camshaft actuator is a mechanical device controlled by internal spring pressure and adjusted by oil supplied by the control solenoid. When no oil pressure is supplied, it will default to a "safe" position. Refer to the manufacturers suggested procedure to remove the camshaft actuator from the engine's camshaft to ensure no leaks are present that would cause a loss of oil pressure to and from the actuator's hydraulic supply/return feed lines or within the actuator itself. Check timing chain/belt and components to ensure they are in proper working order and installed in the correct position on the camshaft gear. ECM/PCM - The ECM/PCM commands the control solenoid using a Pulse width modulated signal (PWM) to regulate the amount of on/off time, resulting in a control of the pressure used to move the camshaft actuator. A graphing multimeter or oscilloscope tool is required to view the PWM signal to ensure proper operation of the ECM/PCM. To check the PWM signal, the positive (+) lead is tapped into the ground side of the control solenoid ( if supplied by constant voltage, ground controlled ) or the powered side of the control solenoid (if permanently grounded, positive control ) and the negative (-) lead is attached to a good known ground. If the PWM signal is not consistent with changes in engine RPM, there may be a problem with the ECM/PCM

Error codes

Code 12 is for a problem with the cam timing, and code 26 is for a problem with the intake valve control solenoid being out of range.
The cam timing would need to be checked along with the control solenoid.

Check engine light showing

Take it to a repair shop, as with all
car problems

Check lights shouldn't be new to you

You should have checked for codes already,
then you know the system with a possible fault

Have 2000 Toyota Camry XLE. Check Engine light appears. Code shows P1035 for Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 being defective. Replaced sensor. Cleared computer code. Let engine idle for 30 minutes before...

What your asking, is how to make a malfunction light
go away from your dash, so you can forget you have a
problem & make no attempt to repair the car

Until you find & resolve active OBD2 Codes that actually set
a MIL or Check Lamp it will keep coming back

Every time you clear a code you have to run a drive cylce in
some cases to start the procees over, as you need those codes
to diagnose the issues

The codes that are there, do not tell you what to replace

Without writing a book here, just study OBD Systems online &
take the car to a repair shop

It is beyond your ability at this time to figure out

I HAVE CODE P0075 P0026 KIA - Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 JOW CAN REPAIR THIS CODE

Hi

the most likely cause of this code is the MAF sensor or air mass sensor "same thing" this regulates the air to fuel mixture, worth a mention you can try and clean this sensor with carb cleaner and this often cures the fault.

Diagnostic test P0026 Solenoid Intake

the test will show as many problems/codes as are present in the memory of the PCM. (power train control module) If u were charged for this repair he or she did not do the job of diagnosing the code properly, they guessed, the reason for this is only the dealer has the correct equip to work on your Subaru and try and get it fixed right the 1st time, that is why dealer costs are higher, tech training and lots of expensive test gear.

2000 chevy impala will not start with remote start

There are several things that can cause this.
A common cause for this is that the check engine light is, or has been been on. When the check engine light comes on, a trouble code is stored in the computer. Most trouble codes will cause the remote start to become inoperative. Repair of the check engine light code is needed first. A scan of the system will show any stored codes.
Another cause is a faulty hood ajay switch.
