Need more info. Check to make certain it is getting fuel. REmove the air filter and look for sign of fuel in carb. No fuel? Check tank don't trust gauge. May have clogged fuel filter, replace. Have someone crank engine while hold spark plug wire close to engine. No spark? you have electrical problems.

SOURCE: i have a 1975 dodge D100 miss fireing

The correct firing order for the engine is 1=8=4=3=6=5=7=2. Standing in front of the engine the right bank is odd numbered. and the left bank is even numbered. Also check to see if you are getting fuel to the carburator. Hope this will help you.

SOURCE: won't run/ misses badly in gear

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Try this. Remove the air filter housing and start your truck. Place your hand over the intake. If it surges the engine you have a leak, it the engine dies then you have a fuel issue. If you do have a leak its simple enough to find. Have someone sit in the truck and apply the brake with the vehicle in gear. Take a pair of pliers and pinch off one vacuum line at a time. Have your assistant gently apply the gas as you get to each line. When the engine stops stalling you've found your culprit. Note: If it's not a vacuum leak it could be a fuel return line issue. There was a recall on the return lines for the 88-91 model Dodge pickups. If the return line is blocked the engine will not run. I hope this solves your problem.

SOURCE: Holley 2 barral carburetor runs to rich in 1985 Dodge Diplomat 318 V8

This can be caused buy a clogged air cleaner, an incorrectly set mixture screws, or I've had a worn gasket between the metering block and carburettor body, may have a worn power valve, an incorrectly set float level.
before you go and blow a heap of cash on a carburettor overhaul check the ignition system first, poor spark and incorrect timing can make it run Ritch.
hope this helps

1985 dodge pick up that cranks but won't start

Need to have the basics: air, fuel, fire. Does carb shoot gas down carb barrel when you pump the throttle? Do you have a good spark when turning over? Air you should have. Pull a spark plug or two and see if they're wet. Leave one out, connected to plug wire, and have base well grounded, crank it and see if you've a good spark (no gas fumes around when you do this!). Make sure plug wires are going to the right plugs.
