You mean wiper arm ? Probably broken wiper arm linkage bushing you can't see , under the cowling . Can you move the passenger wiper arm up an down without much effort ? An not the drivers side ? To see it or get at it you would need to pull wiper arms off an take cowling off to get at it . there is a rod or something similar between the drivers side and passenger's side which must have become disconnected. the ends generally push on to a ball

Maybe the nut that hold the wiper to the linkage is either loose or stripped? The linkage itself is bad?

I think your wiper motor is fine because the passenger side works and uses the same motor to move the wipers.

there is 2 wiper motors . 1 for the drivres side and the other for the passenger. sounds like a bad passenger side motor

this just happened to us, the drivers side stopped working after getting tangled up with the passenger side...it was just a case of tightening up the 13mm nuts on the wiper arm.

take the cap off the bottom of the wiper with a screw driver and in most cases the nut under the cap is loose take it to auto zone or napa and ask them to take a quick look for you because they install wipers for free

the linkage has popped off the back you need to get to it to push it back on ots possibly worn and needs replacing
