Torque converter might be disengaging.
Check fluids for level, smell and color.

SOURCE: Describe your BMW 2001 325 Problem car hesitates

this problem could be cause by a few things, the first thing to check would be the operation of the air fuel sensor and the next thing i would look at would be to check for proper fuel preasure. the preasure spec is 50psi. and the volume spec is that it should pump at least 1.85 L in 30secs.

Hi check the level of your fluid in the stearing resovior to see if that is low, it might just need topping up, or you might have air in the system , drive car for a while, parck it up then put either an old sheet or a piece of cardboard under car to see if you have drips of fluid on it, it is normally redy brown colour hope this helps

I have a 2001 BMW 325 and the service engine soon light won't shut off.

SES lights are mostly just "HEY I NEED AN OIL CHANGE" warnings...or some other standard maintenance. Only your dealer or an independent shop with BMW OEM CDI tools can reset this.

Automatic 330i 2001, if i start accelarating at 3rd gear the RPM keep increaing and if i release the gas the car should change to next gear but i does not...at low RPMs it is working fine

the gearbox is a "fuzzy logic"system.gearchange depends on accelerator pedal position/revs/load.if you drive without depressing the gas peddle more than a third down you should find all gearchanges much smoother.(if you drive with gas peddle almost hard down all the time yhe car will hold gears longer...poss 4500 revs or more......
