Go by a battery shop and get them to check your alternator. If you have a voltmeter, start the car and then check the battery voltage with the engine running. It should read 14----14.5 volts with the engine running. If it reads 12 ---13 volts, you have an alternator problem.

My 170 hummingbird beeps and wont stop even when i go through the menu and turn the alarm off on everything is this another piece of junk ????

Doesn't it show the cause of the alarm on screen? It might be the low voltage alarm which on some units can't be turned off, but can be adjusted to a lower voltage if it's alerting unnecessarily.

Why won't the check oil level alert turn off?

if he level is good the sensor is dirty or bad or the wires fell off

are you sure its level alert and not low pressure.
the operators guide tells you this, lost that?

Our 2001 V70 -AC shuts off during driving and wont come back on until car is stopped turned off and restarted, you can hear compressor kick on but wont stay on regardless of temp control setting.

The A/C needs to be serviced by a certified volvo tech or some one who know's a/c very well it can be just low charge or the speed sensor on the compressor.

Wont start unless jump started battery and altenator are good

either the cranking amps on the battery are low or the regulator is intermittent, meaning it is charging then once it warms up it stops charging. I would replace the alternator. Hope this helps Tim

I boost jeep and it starts up but soon as i let off gas it dies and kills battery

probly your alternator. at real high rpm it may still charge but not at low. also my be the battery it wont hold a charge then the alternator is trying to power everything at low rpm. then u drop to low and stop charging enough and the coil or fuel pump havnt enough power. if you use a volt meter and watch it. u should have 13 or more all the time and not morethen 15.5 if its working then probly the battery. another posibility is both check ur battery cables. corrosion can cause it to not charge. also make sure ur headlights arnt on because thats putting more on the altornator

Oil light comes on, and a bell rings after engine is warm, when I come to a stop...

Sounds like oil pressure is dropping low enough at idle to trigger these alerts.

You need to investigate this ASAP before you lose the engine too lack of oil pressure.

1994 C280 wont start

You left the key too long in the ignition switch. This sent an alert as if it were being stolen. Remove the key from ignition. Lock all doors. Wait about an hour or so. When you open the doors, put your foot down on the gas pedal and release. Put the key into the ignition and turn the car on.  Make sure you have the shift in "Park" position.
