Piston damage

Hard to say. Any scratches/blemishes on the surface of a piston can cause heat concentration, leading to premature failure. I would suggest taking a close-up photograph of that piston, along with another one for comparison, and show them to a local mechanic that you trust. I'm assuming that you are taking care of the head/valve issue that caused the damage, as there is probably some valve damage to repair as well.

Wet spark plugs

wet plugs indicate excessive fuel in that piston that is not being ignited. Possible plug failure or HT lead failure or distributor cap crack for the piston or coil pack for that piston

It's rare that a piston goes bad. So, you need to determine why it failed.
Most times, the cylinder wall is damaged during a piston failure making it impossible to just replace the piston. Check the wall for score marks and out of round condition as well as actual size VS original bore size. (correcting that requires machine work) The new piston must match the cylinder bore as it is now, NOT what it was when manufactured. (same applies to rings).
The old rod can be re-used if it is not bent and providing that the big end (crank end) is still round. Again, the rod needs to be assembled by a machine shop as the wrist-pin is a press-in part.
Most times, you will find that the amount of actual work necessary to replace one piston exceeds what would be necessary to replace the engine in both time, $ and reliability.
If you want to try a replacement though, see if you can get a piston/rod assembly that is still in good condition from a blown junkyard engine, Plasti-gage the bearing and replace if necessary, clean out the ring grooves or replace the rings. Use a hand held cylinder hone and break the glaze on the cylinder walls. If you are careful and everything goes well, it MIGHT work.
Personally I would never replace pistons in an engine without doing all the necessary machine work though.

My brakes stick on the front for acouple of seconds after pedal release

you need to have the calibers checks for seal failure....Thier is a seal on the inside of the piston that ends as the pistons press the pads onto the rotors...once this seal gasket fails you will have piston caliber stick,or failure...when you press the brakes,the master cylinder forces the fluid into the caliber behind the pistons and pressure is needed for them to work properly..Hope this helps...

you should'nt have any tension on the parking brake,unless it's on. check the parking brake to insure that it's in the off position. chock" the rear wheels,to make sure the car does'nt roll while you're jacking it up and "always use jackstands,do not trust your jack" does your brake caliper piston have a + on it?it will be on the brake caliper piston itself, if so,then you need to back the brake caliper piston back in by turning it counterclockwise,auto parts stores sell a special tool to back the brake calipers back into place, i've always used a straight screwdriver,to turn the piston counterclockwise some do turn clockwise though to retract the brake piston. a simple call to the auto parts store where you're purchasing the brakes will tell you which way the piston will need to be retracted.other wise,it's a simple brake replacement,just push the brake caliper cylinder with a "C" clamp to retract the brake caliper, also,if you are replacing brake rotors,purchase the brake kleen to spray on the new brake rotors when you replace those.they have a clear film on them,you'll need to remove that film to insure no future issues with the brake rotors.simply spray the front and back of the brake rotors with this spray to remove the protective "film"and as always,thank you,for choosing!

I have a 2000 jeep with a 4.7l v 8 believed to have a broken piston must I take out the motor to fix it

unfortunately yes. Who diagnosed that it was a broken piston? That is not a common failure and I'm kind of suspicious. Sure it can happen, but it would take alot to break a piston. Maybe a bearing?

The brakes are sticking on the drivers side of my 04 chevy can i unstick the brake?

since your complain is on the driver side sticking brake, so i do not suspect that the failure in on your hydrovac, it could be the that your driver side brake caliper piston needs seal kit replacement thats why when you press the brake and when you depress it the piston doesnt retracts. you need to remove the driver side wheel and remove the brake caliper assembly, take off the brake pads, press the brake till the piston comes out, inspect the piston condition and change it if damage along with the seal kit. make sure to bleed the brake before driving the car to release presence of air in your brake system.

Repeat issues with drivers side front brake caliper

Were the lines to the brakes completely flushed out? If not have that done. Contaminates in the fluid id common and will bind the pistons in the brake calipers causing premature wear to the brake pads
If the pistons are sticking they will need to be removed and the inner piston wall cleaned thoroughly. Rebuilt calipers are much easier to replace if rebuilding your own is not an option you want to take

Can't get pistons to turn back in,after replacing rear brake pads

hi from uk the rear calipers pistons need to be rotated with piston also pressed inwards there is a tool specially for this you can purchase from auto supermarket ? it is simple to operate and the cheapest tool i recommend is one made by draper tool company other than this try pushing piston whilst rotating clockwise it would also help if you slacken bleed nipple on caliper to ease pushing piston back do not forget to bleed brakes later hope this helps?
