Question about Cars & Trucks

My sons Clutch would not engage or for that matter it would not do anything

This has a hydraulic clutch. Clutch stopped working after 20 hrs. I added a new clutch lever before it stopped working. I checked the hydraulic fluid, it was full. I changed the clutch plates, springs, and fibers. Still didnt work. I then blead the line added more fluid. Started working great. While racing the clutch gave out again. Fluid was almost out and the rubber gasket that goes inside the resevoir has swollen up so big it will not fit back into the resevoir. Have you ever heard of this happening? What do you think the problem is?

You didn't use DOT5 brake fluid did you. DOT5 brake will swell some types of rubber and aerate the fluid which becomes compressible.

Car goes into gear perfect but nothing happens when you let clutch out

if it is hydraulic clutch , replace the clutch master cylinder
if it is cable clutch , replace the clutch cable
both are stopping the clutch pressure plate from engaging the clutch plate

How do you adjust an electronic clutch on a 96 Mustang GT 4.6 L V8

There is no such thing as an electronic clutch. Assuming your talking about the clutch associated with the transmission. The clutch is engaged via a cable going from the clutch itself to the clutch pedal through the firewall. There is also a clutch quadrant under the dash (attached to the pedal) that is self adjusting. If this goes bad then you need to replace it. What is the issue your experiencing?

I have a 1989 nissan pathfinder, the clutch engages pretty low well leting the clutch up, it doesnt slip or anything just engages really quick. Would this mean i need a new clutch or.....?

try pumping the clutch pedal all the way down and all the way up about 20-30 times, then put into gear and try it. if it grabs higher you may have a slave cylinder problem/ hydraulic leak. in most cases when the clutch is worn out it will grab high, unfortunately not always. a lot of slave cylinders require removing the transmission to replace, if this is the case it would be a good idea to replace the clutch while it is apart.

Clutch will not engage when it was engaging perfectly to begin with.

Your car has a hydraulic clutch release system, it is defective, either the master or slave cylinder is leaking or pulling in air and this causes the clutch pedal to go to the floor.

If you replaced the clutch set, sounds like the hydraulic part of the clutch is not working.

Mark 1 maxda mx5 eunos clutch failure

it will happen again as mechanical items do not fix themselves
indicates from your very limited description ( hydraulic or cable) if hydraulic it is probably short on fluid and needs bleeding out ( leaking slave cylinder ) or failing master cylinder
best take it to an accredited a brake and clutch shop , have a proper diagnosis done then decide on the trip

Will stop leak fix a leak in the clutch slave cylinder on a 92 wranlger 2.5L 5 speed?

No. the pressure is too high and the fluid type is completely different than what is used in stop leak which is used in other hydraulic systems. Your clutch uses the same fluid as the brakes do. DOT3 or DOT4. Adding anything other than that will contaminate and ruin the system.
