How do you remove the old front transmission seal?

You must remove the transmission from the truck and then remove the torque converter, the seal is right there and requires special tools to remove and install correctly.

Have a 91 Nissan truck just purchased, it's stuck in reverse and 5th gear, how do I fix

If the problem is in the shifter lever assembly, you can remove that from the top of the transmission after you remove the floor mat/carpeting, slide up the boot, and remove the six bolts holding it to the transmission. But, if everything seems to be free and moving smoothly in that assembly, the transmission will have to be disassembled to find which shift forks or associated rods are bound up or broken.

Where to replace oil filter on mitsubishi warrior L200 2012 automatic transmission box

I am not sure of the exact transmission you have but, the transmission fluid filter is almost always in the transmission. It is usually the first discernible item when the pan is removed. It can look like a screen or a bound piece of fabric held in place by a few screws. If you want to change it and not familiar with it, buy a filter and gasket kit in advance and you will be able to identify it by comparing it to the new one.

How to take transmission out

It is a pretty involving process to remove and replace the transmission on a Honda Odyssey and not recommended for the home DIY mechanic. Without a vehicle hoist or lift, it is a daunting task to undertake. This will be a brief description of what may need to be removed. The engine and transmission sits on a sub frame cradle. The engine will need to be held and supported by an engine support bar. The sub frame is then unbolted from the bottom. All things necessary must be removed before the sub frame can come out. For example, the rack and pinion bolts, sway bar, lower front ball joints, front and rear engine mounts, and any and all brackets and hard lines. After the sub frame is completely out, the flywheel bolts will have to be removed from the transmission. The cv-axles will have to be removed along with the transmission fluids being drained. Then the harness/connectors disconnected from the transmission, and then the bolts to the engine and bolts for the transmission mount. With a floorjack, the transmission can then be dropped out from underneath. Installation is the reversal.

How do I switch a crankshaft

Disconnect the battery. Remove the spark plugs. You will need to remove the engine and transmission from the vehicle (unless you have a lift, in which case you only need to remove the transmission.). Separate the engine and transmission. Remove the flex plate (flywheel). Remove the serpentine belt and crankshaft pulley. Remove the timing cover, timing chain, and crankshaft timing gear. Remove the oil pan. You may have to remove the oil pump for clearance. Remove the rod bearing caps. Keep them in proper sequence. Remove the main bearing caps. Keep them in proper sequence. Remove the crankshaft.

You will need new rod and main bearings to replace those already in the vehicle. You will need a new oil pan gasket and timing cover gasket set. Depending upon mileage and age, you may want to replace the timing gears, chain and guides. You must know all proper torque values for the crank and rod bearing caps, flex plate, and timing cover.

As you can well see, this is not a job for the auto DIY novice.

How to change automatic trasmitin fluid

Hi!!
To change Transmission Fluid you need to remove the Transmission Fluid Pan and Filter, the transmission pan is located on the bottom of the transmission, so you'll need to lift the vehicle and secure it with towers before going down.
Your other option, is to take the vehicle to Jiffy Lube or similar place and have them done in 15min. this is one of the jobs that I recommend to have done at a lube shop since it is actually cheaper to have it done than DIY.
Good Day!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa!!
